Once you are on the aft deck level you will notice the large size of this entertaining area with all the amenities Fridge, Ice maker, ceiling mounted TV, very large dining table and chairs. The access from the aft deck to the Fly Bridge is another very well built staircase. The is a semi spiral star with very gradual risers in the steps and a very well placed hand rail around the side of the stairs to the top is very easy to use while underway. The fly bridge is the best laid out area for entertaining, relaxing, cruising or just enjoying the spa pool or enjoying a very relaxing cocktail at the bar. Everything you need to enjoy life on a cruise is in this area. Forward and a few steps down is the pilothouse. Enjoy the views from this driving station or just sit and admire the electronics, as the world goes by while doing 22 Knots. It is a beautiful experience. The interior of Mar Azul is a knock out! She has a breath-taking effect when you walk through the automatic aft door and look at the never ending appearance of this Salon and Dining room. Moving froward, along the starboard hallway, past the beautiful day head, you reach the Galley where the chef has all the kitchen appliances he needs to cater t-he largest dinner party you may have. This is a country kitchen layout with Island bench and a beautiful dinette forward. Continuing forward, down a private staircase is the VIP stateroom. This is a room worthy of being a Master stateroom! It is very well appointed space that continues into the en suite head. The entry to the lower accommodations is down the Port side stairs from the dining room into a very beautiful foyer. Aft through double doors is The Master stateroom, another breath-taking room that invites you in with its elegance and comfort. You will not want to leave! It has a beautiful his and hers en suite with a very large shower in the center as a divider with a privacy curtain if needed. Moving forward in the foyer, there are two Guest staterooms, port and starboard. These queen Guest staterooms are very spacious with beautiful ensuite heads and lots of hanging space. Mar Azul has one of the best crew areas on a yacht of this size. With an all-weather entry down the stairs from the aft deck that has been incorporated into the design of the stairs to the fly bridge, allows for guests to have complete privacy from the crew when they are not working inside the yacht and they can come and go without entering the Yacht. The crew area has its own dining area, Captain’s cabin with ensuite head and Crew cabin and head. We have a stainless steel water proof engine room door forward of the dinette and a second stainless steel, water proof, electric, hydraulic door aft to the lazarette that allows access to the swim platform. SOLD! Congratulations and safe travels to the new owners. There are few boats as ideally suited for coastal and long range cruising as the Selene 55. Bella Luna is hull number 27, Model Year 2005, a lovely edition of this popular model that was ordered with a great selection of gear and has been maintained to the highest standards by her current owner. Her flag blue hull is striking and her low profile flybridge and reverse raked windows with Portuguese bridge convey her offshore determination. The Selene 55 offers a considerable amount of additional volume and comfort to her sister ship the Selene 53. It’s interesting what a little more room will do to transform a boat, the Selene 55 has an extra 6” in the pilothouse (enough to fit a helm chair) and an additional 18” in the cockpit (making it a popular place for lounging, fishing and dining). The aft deck (cockpit) is enclosed with see through panels and there are teak decks that extend forward into the walking side decks. The saloon and galley are on the entrance level and there is a rich teak interior that has been tastefully decorated. The pilothouse has an all-encompassing view and a great suite of navigation and communications electronics. Guests seem to congregate on the flybridge (covered) and boat deck (open) while enjoying the world drift by at comfortable trawler speeds. Down below there are three cabins, master aft, VIP forward and a bunk room to port. Two heads with showers compliment the interior layout. The engine room is accessed from the master (and through a galley hatch) and has a Cummins QSL-9 405 HP main engine on centerline and a Northern Lights 12kW generator. The sliding windows in the saloon and galley provide an impressive air flow while underway or at anchor and the entire living spaces enjoy air conditioning. No tender is included, but she does have an Aritex crane. There is also a watermaker installed. For boat handling you have bow and stern thrusters and for anchoring there is an electric horizontal windlass with two plow anchors at the ready. The listing broker sold Bella Luna to her current owner a few years ago. The search back then started for a Nordhavn 55, but an open minded approach to find the best value led to the Selene 55 as a more than viable alternative and marvelous opportunity to purchase a similar size cruising trawler.
