After Petit St.Vincent, s/v Cloudy Bay spent 5 days in Tobago Cays Marine Park, which is a cluster of 5 tiny, uninhabited, cays, collectively sheltered from the open sea by the appropriately named Horseshoe Reef. Wildlife was amazing, the highlight being the sea-turtles and iguanas. St. Vincent & the Grenadines

After 3 days in Tobago Cays Marin Park, s/v Cloudy Bay (Hallberg-Rassy 54) moves on to Mayreau, the last island of the Tobago Cays. Our visit to Mayreau was notable for its gloomy weather and unusual large swell from the north which had caused mayhem in the best anchorages. St. Vincent & the Grenadines

After 5 days in the wilderness of Tobago Cays, s/v Cloudy Bay (Hallberg-Rassy 54) moves on to Canouan Island. We stop in Glossy Bay and explore the island for few days, enjoying both the contrasting local environment of Charlestown Bay in the middle of the island, and the luxury of Pink Sands & Canouan Estate at one end, and Glossy Bay Marina at the other end of the island. In this weeks episode, we drilled some holes from the bottom side of the galley roof to find core rot in the coach house roof. I alluded to this in last weeks video as it was a suggestion from the owner of the boat yard. We also got a great visit from my Dad from New Jersey. We spent some time along the Algiers and Industial Canal between the ICW and Lake Ponchartrain. Since we were down in New Orleans, we went on a steam powered paddle wheel boat down the Mississippi river just like Huck Fin. We closed out our evening with a horse drawn carriage ride through the french quarter hearing ghost stories. Update, just replace clutch slave and master cylinder: https://youtu.be/j4ESmdy9ZZc Jeep clutch would not engage when released so you could let off the clutch with it in gear and the Jeep Wrangler YJ would not move. I have never worked on a manual transmission, but when I went through some basic troubleshooting I was able to get the jeep moving again. If we would have taken it to a shop they were telling me it was $75 just to look at, plus towing it to the shop, and I was looking at $200 to $1000 plus just to fix it. It is good to look at the issue yourself just to narrow it down to help avoid this kind of cost. Chafe Protection: Using PVC Tubing (Patrick Childress Sailing Tips #2) Sail Damage can be prevented with Chafe Protection/Chafe Gear for Sheets and Sails. Care of Sails and Sheets is critical to improving the lifespan of sails, and consideration of chafing Against the rigging one critical aspect for protecting sails from chafe. This is a method to slip PVC tubing onto a stay without taking the lower terminal off or shortening the stay in order to reduce sail chafe and sheet chafe on a sailboat. When a sail rubs against sailboat rigging, it slowly wears the sail out, sometimes chafing it right through. This is an idea to prevent that chafe on the sails and on the ropes, lines, and sheets. My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? After a day in Palm Island, s/v Cloudy Bay (Hallberg-Rassy 54) moves on for a quick look in Petit Martinique (PM), then to the next private resort island, Petit St. Vincent (PSV), which is a secluded and unplugged paradise. Episode 16 Are we getting evicted? We don't know. We wait to see what our fate is on the hard as we get our health and safety files in order to present to the port authorities. We show you guys the cabinetry that we completed. We start cutting our our hatches in our galley seating area. Go shopping for some LED cabin lights and our head basin as well as our galley sink. Ricky, Jerry and Moses start laminating our nidacore sheet to make our aft cabin beds & galley tops. We took a trip down to the beach market to see all the cool things they were selling. We do some more fiberglass and filleting. We managed to do some of the work at home and have people who have opened there workshop up for us to use while we wait to see what happens to our yacht on the yard. As of now, we aren't allowed to work on the boat as long as its on the hard, so our options are to wait and see what happens and try to get as much work done off the boat as we can, or try move the boat which will cost a ton of money, so were going with the first option. SISU (Finnish concept) is a grim, gritty, white-knuckle form of courage in situations where success is against the odds. Taking action against the odds and displaying courage and resoluteness in the face of adversity, in other words, deciding on a course of action and then sticking to that decision even despite repeated failures.
