Dopo essere partiti su Perseus da Porto Garibaldi, io, Chris, Blu il pastore e i due gatti siamo arrivati in Grecia. A Sivota incontriamo un'altra coppia di ragazzi italiani e i loro bimbi. Insieme navighiamo tra le isole ioniche. Si avvicina il momento di rientrare a casa, la prua di Perseus punta nord da qualche giorno. Lasciamo Parga per ancorare nella grande baia sud di Corfù. Passiamo gli ultimi giorni in Grecia con i ragazzi di Valeila, tra passeggiate in città, visite all'ultimo saponificio artigianale delal Grecia, aperitivi, bagni e relax. Dopo qualche giorno ripartiamo, risaliamo lungo le coste albanesi e quelle montenegrine passando due notti in mare in navigazione. I delfini ci fanno compagnia e ci accompagnano. Il terzo giorno il tempo peggiora, noi cominciamo a essere stanchi, così ci fermiamo nella baia di Rogacic, nell'Isola di Vis in Croazia. Il giorno seguente salpiamo ancora ma fuori dalla baia il mare è ancora molto mosso, non c'è un filo di vento, Perseus fatica ad avanzare a motore e io non mi sento molto bene, rientriamo in baia dove un forte temporale ci investe. Il tempo finalmente migliora, partiamo nuovamente, questa volta il vento ci aiuta e in due giorni, la notte dell'11 giugno alle 23.30 Perseus si mette a riposo nel suo ormeggio di Porteo Garibaldi. Living aboard and travelling in a 34ft yacht and in a motorhome with four kids. We head from Matapouri out to the Poor Knights for a snorkel and then work our way up the coast to Cape Brett. We are a family of six who are taking some time out of normal life to travel. We’ve pulled the kids from school and are home schooling while on the road and the water. We spend time aboard our 34ft sailing boat in NZ and have bought a camper in Europe so as to tour the other side of the world. We’re keeping our memories on video here and the kids write narration and play guitars so we have music to use in the videos.

**NOW SOLD** YOTI proudly and exclusively offers for sale the 2009 Prometa – Banana 43 “Bonobo”, currently located in the amazing islands New Caledonia. The Banana 43, build by the Prometa yard in France, is an aluminum “no limits” world cruising catamaran. It has been called the “Landrover” of the Oceans. It is a sistership to “Mowgli”, the first version of the Banana. Mowgli sailed half way around the world with the owner’s family and he continued with a single hand trip (a world first on a cat) from Australia to Tierre del Fuego! Access to the vessel is made easy by the transom steps, with waterproof hatches to the engine bays and storage lockers. The large cockpit is the focal point for entertainment, with comfortable all round-seating and immediate access to helm station with large Furuno plotter and the sail controls. The light and spacious saloon has plenty seating around a solid timber table, has a well-appointed galley to port and dedicated navigation table to starboard. Visibly is very good with all round windows, so that you may keep a watchful eye from inside too. The port hull features a double berth cabin up front with plenty storage and overhead hatch for ventilation. In the passage way the beautiful timber joinery continues with more cupboards and domestic size fridge / freezer, for those long passages and cruises. Aft in the port hull is the very large head with enclosed shower that will appeal greatly to those seeking these homely comforts. The starboard hull also has a very comfortable double berth cabin. In the passage way there is a head with washbasin and a separate shower, accessed by its own door. The cruisers dream is found aft in the starboard hull: a dedicated Machinery/ Workshop with amongst others a Sea Recovery 60l/ hr water maker and a freezer. Interestingly all the fridges and freezer are freshwater cooled by means of the onboard vessels water tanks. Efficient, and no marine growth to block the strainers. A single berth could be reinstated in the workshop, in lieu of the bench top. The electrical installation is all Mastervolt; Furuno Navvnet3D navigation and instruments, two independent autopilots etc., precisely what you would expect from an ex Naval Officer, that build this vessel for his extended world-wide cruising. The vessel is self-sufficient, with generator, watermaker, solar panels, wind generator, 2 fridges, 2 freezers, gennaker, spinnaker (parasail) and oversized rigging and anchor gear. This is a seriously capable vessel, build to last! It is a true sailor’s boat, even for the extreme latitudes. The wind disappears and drifting in the current we are heading towards the busy shipping lane... This engine will be the death of us! https://www.sailingnandji.com This week on Sailing Nandji, we return to the islands of Karimunjawa to fix our headsail halyard and get some diesel so we are able to continue our journey towardsMalaysia. The further north we sail, the closer to the equator we go meaning light calm winds, smooth seas and massive squalls! We battle through relentless strong winds and rain to get the island of Belitung in sight. Needing to now traverse a busy skinny shipping lane through the dark night, we challenge ourselves with one hour shifts to concentrate on the compass as we upwind sail near reefs and islands. As the sun rises on our 6th day at sea, the wind disappears and we try to motor but nothing happens... Slowly in the 1 knot current we drift back towards the shipping lane... Who needs a Gearbox anyway... Ah, We Do!! We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We have been in Indonesia for a couple of months cruising and are now high tailing to Malaysia for boat work. We departed Australia 18 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some amazing people and experienced cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it!
