The Lagoon 440 Catamaran is a modern catamaran that offers all the comforts and equipment to make long passages and all the necessary to live onboard. This Lagoon 440 measures 13.61 meters long and 7.70 meters wide. With a draft of 1.3 meters, this version is 4 cabins with 2 full bathrooms with shower and sink. This modern catamaran was manufactured in 2007, inside it has a spacious lounge with a central table that allows all crew members to comfortably sit around it, it is also equipped with stereo system, Bose speakers, Air conditioning throughout the interior of the boat, refrigerator, microwave oven and television in all cabins and saloon. It has a large helm station area on the flybridge where you can safely navigate the boat, it also has electric winches for convenience. In the bow we find a large rest area with seats and speakers, it also has a crew cabin with sink and toilet completely independent. In the stern there is a comfortable central table and seats, a sink, washing machine and barbecue. Some extras include AIS, watermaker, solar panels, folding propeller set. As for the technical characteristics, the Lagoon 440 catamaran is equipped with double engine control and two Yanmar 54 hp engines, new mainsail and fully revised and trimmed rigging. With regard to navigation, the Lagoon 440 is equipped with depth sounder, autopilot and GPS with navigation charts, as well as VHF both inside and outside. This modern boat is ideal for those who are looking for maximum safety and the capacity of autonomy that this sailing catamaran provides. I take a trip around the North Central Florida wilderness. I visit state parks and private camp sites on my solo adventure. This is a mellow journey mostly for the aesthetic beauty of nature. I complete 3 scenic paintings on my trip (only one is briefly in this video). At the end of the video is a kayak sail I designed for light wind sailing. We thought we would put out a little film on Xmas eve to say HAPPY XMAS and thank you to all out viewers. Living on the boat in a warm climate at Xmas is a first for us and I have to say we both love the freedom the warm weather gives you at this time of year. We've had fun inland exploring the area around the Sierra Nevada in Southern Spain, there's a little preview here, but look out for episode 11 over the holidays to see what the area has to offer. One chapter ends and another begins as we depart Indonesia https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we spend our last days in Indonesia. We search the Banda Aceh area for one last surf before we clear out of the country in Sabang. Sabang is the most north western tip of Indonesia and the same port we cleared into Indonesia a long 5 months ago. We have enjoyed our time exploring West Sumatra and the island chains off the coast, but it is time to keep moving and prepare for the next big adventure in 2020! Sad to sail away from Indonesia, our spirits are raised when the biggest pod of Dolphins we have seen in Indonesia greet us for our departure. A glassy smooth sea and thousands of Dolphins, a great way to begin our passage to Thailand! With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we have returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south to Chagos and across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji around the world!! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades around the World! After checking out of New Caledonia, we sail north up the west coast before turning and heading to Chesterfield Reef. On our last night as we get closer to we begin to see birds. We have a little bird make the boat its home overnight, whilst several boobies attempt to land, one finally working out the solar panel was a better place to target. After a 3 night passage, we arrive in the morning ready to begin exploring the remote uninhabited string of sand cays called Chesterfield Reef.

Finally, we break free from marina life to get back out on anchor! And even better, we have a brand new mainsail from Precision Sails to bend on! Seit 2017 haben wir nun mehr Zeit und so ist es uns möglich unser Revier beliebig zu vergrößern. Wir reisen gerne in kleinen Etappen, um möglichst viel von Land und Leuten kennenzulernen. Begeistert sind wir von der Atlantikküste bis nach Gibraltar. Ein oft unterschätztes Revier mit unendlich vielen, schönen Orten und Ankerplätzen! Mittlerweile sind wir auf den Kanaren angekommen.
