This is why we sail, it's why we scrimp and save to live the cruising life. ENJOYED THIS VIDEO? Please LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE to our channel! Your feedback gets us noticed by YouTube and really helps us get the word out! 💖 How many places untouched by tourism and development are left in the world? These Anambas islands are the wildest, most untamed and remote group we have found In 12 years of sailing across the globe. The Anambas archipelago, in the South China Seas, can only be reached by boat. There are no resorts, hotels, bars, jet-skis or restaurants. Just unadulterated nature at its most beautiful. For total relaxation and immersion in the best our blue planet has to offer, this place is hard to beat. There are no pilot guides showing you where to anchor (OK, there are a couple of pages in Andy Scott's "Cruising Guide to Indonesia", which lists about 1% of all the anchorages there). Charts are inaccurate and out of date, challenging you to use all your skills as a navigator and sailor - the most accurate source of information was Google Earth! We found villages, towns and islands not named on any map. To give you more information, we have started to add positions to our episodes, so if it interests you, please scroll down for the full lat and long. Kick back and enjoy some soothing relaxation with the beautiful drone and underwater footage of this tropical island paradise. Pulau Pedjaul is another dream island group within the Anambas. White sandy beaches stretch along the shores, blue lagoons just beg to be explored and the coral stretches to the horizon. Peace and fair winds! 🗺️ 3°09'14.8"N 106°23'25.8"E *************************************** 🙏 SAY THANKS THROUGH THE RUM FUND! http://followtheboat.com/THANKS/ 🙏 SUPPORT US ON PATREON! https://www.patreon.com/followtheboat *************************************** 🎥 Last episode: http://bit.ly/followtheboat93 *************************************** LET'S CONNECT! 📷 INSTAGRAM http://www.instagram.com/followtheboat 👯 FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/followtheboat 📱 TWITTER https://twitter.com/followtheboat 🌎 FTB WEBSITE http://www.followtheboat.com 📧 RECEIVE FTB EMAILS: http://bit.ly/GET_EMAILS *************************************** GEAR: 📷 NEW CAMERA (Ep 68 onwards) Panasonic GH5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RdIZyP7OEE 📷 OLD VIDEO CAMERA (Ep 1 - 67) Olympus OMD EM-5 Mk2 http://amzn.to/2s6TA5F 📸 MAIN VIDEO CAMERA LENS Olympus Zuiko 12mm prime http://amzn.to/2s6w0WF 🚁 4K DRONE DJi Mavic Pro http://amzn.to/2rfI0qN 🎥 LIZ'S 4K CAMCORDER Sony AX53 http://amzn.to/2s6EQn3 🎤 MAIN EXTERNAL CAMERA MIC Rode VideoMic Pro http://amzn.to/2s6qeUL 🎤 LIZ'S CAMERA EXTERNAL COMPACT MIC Rode Video Micro Compact http://amzn.to/2rfpsXC 🎙️ MAIN EXTERNAL FIELD MIC Roland R-05 http://amzn.to/2rfpdMk 🎙️ SECONDARY EXTERNAL FIELD MIC Zoom H1 http://amzn.to/2qs6yNR 🌊 WATERPROOF CAMERA Olympus Tough TG5 http://amzn.to/2quDykH 🏂 MAIN 4K SPORTS CAMERA GoPro Hero 4 Black http://amzn.to/2quLF0F 🏂 SECONDARY 4K SPORTS CAMERA SJCAM 5000X http://amzn.to/2rfnVki 👩‍💻 EDITING SOFTWARE Adobe Premiere Pro CC http://amzn.to/2rfrkQ8 *************************************** 🛒 FOLLOWTHEBOAT SHOP FOR T-SHIRTS, MUGS, HATS ETC!: https://followtheboat.com/shop *************************************** 🕮 E-BOOKS: 1. After successfully sneaking into the interior of Cuba, we arrived in Viñales valley in the tobacco region of Cuba. We decided the best way to see the area was to rent bikes and look for the best rock climbing spots. As it turned out rock climbing was also illegal in Cuba, so we found ourselves participating in an illegal sport while on an illegal inland excursion. We had officially become outlaws! We also met a local tobacco farmer who taught us the secret to making Cuban cigars. Cuba Climbing Guide: http://amzn.to/2EPoKoT Did you like this video? Our 90th episode starts off with a bang as we pull away from the dock and finally continue South! Along the way, we notice that the blue super moon has created some intense tides that render floating docks and ramps along the ICW completely useless! We cook and continue on our way until we decide to take the advice of many of our YouTube followers by anchoring with only a 4 to 1 scope. Watch until the end to see how that turns out for us! This film was made possible by ... http://ClassicSailboats.org, home of the largest registry of classic sailing vessels in the world. https://TheSailingChannel.TV, your port of call for outstanding sailing documentaries and how-to videos. In Spring 2017, CSO received an inquiry from a member of the Evans family regarding the location of "Banzai," a New York 30 sloop formally owned by their dad, Herbert W. "Bink" Evans Jr. Now that both their dad and mom had past away, the three Evans siblings wanted to reunite with "Banzai" for a final visit. Herbert "Bink" Evans was a longtime admirer of Herreshoff sailboats and in particular he admired "Banzai," which he had observed sailing many times over the years on Long Island Sound. Bink purchased her 1969 and sailed her extensively with his family. The Evans lost touch with "Banzai" after their Dad gifted her to Mystic Seaport in 1974. ClassicSailboats.Org and its media partner, TheSailingChannel.TV were able to locate "Banzai" and make arrangements for a family visit and sail. On June 2, 2017 the Evans family arrived at Oakcliff Sailing, a non-profit organization dedicated to building American leaders through sailing. See http://oakcliffsailing.org/ Oakcliff Sailing is located on Long Island Sound's Oyster Bay about an hour drive north of New York City. Besides training young people to become Olympic caliber sailors, Oakcliff maintains several classic sailing craft, including two fully restored New York 30s. One is "Banzai". The NY 30 racing class was designed by the famed naval architect, Nathanial Herreshoff for the New York Yacht Club. During 1905, 18 vessels were built and launched by the Herreshoff Manufacturing, Company in Bristol, Rhode Island. "Banzai"was launched on March 15. For a full history, see classicsailboats.org/?portfolio=n-g-herreshoff-new-york-30-banzai For more on the fleet, visit the NY30 Organization at https://ny30.org/ Over the years "Banzai" has had many owners and survived the riggers of the sea. In recent years, her current owner has had "Banzai" fully restored by the Long Island yard, Wooden Boatworks, which continues to maintain her for Oakcliff Sailing. I've been living in Santa Cruz several weeks now. Most people just stay long enough to do some repairs, shop for provisions, have a quick visit of the city and island and head off across the ocean. You make many friends at the marina. You'll meet some of them as well as getting look at several tall ships that are actually ship schools.

In this episode we take out the old chainplates to see if they are reusable so we can keep our mast upright on our 1971 Pearson 35. Then we show you how we installed them. We also repair the spreaders so we're ready for the new rigging to raise the mast.We also take a little break to check out the beautiful sunset on the beach with some yummy ice cream. Beau had toasted coconut and I had moose tracks... mmmmmmmm. After some Crocodile hunting... We boat convoy our way through the skinny Mboli Passage in the Florida islands. With thick jungle on both sides, this place felt straight from Jurassic Park. https://www.sailingnandji.com In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we explore the beautiful Tokyo bay where we were rafted up with two other vessels, Sand Pebble and Fara. Taking La diva the tender through the mangroves in search of Crocodiles, we check out the ship wreck of Kikuzuko, a Japanese destroyer that was sunk in the corner of Tokyo Bay. We then boat convoy North through the Mboli passage in the Florida islands. The skinny passage cuts its way through dense jungle, weaving its way to the north coast. The passage gets as skinny as 50m at times, with small villages and palm tree huts built on the water. It felt straight out of Jurassic Park. We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, then bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific!
