When you think of Napa Valley and wine, the phrases "it's just juice" and "if it tastes like anything other than grapes, it's not wine" probably are not what you would expect to hear. When we first arrived in Napa, St. Helena specifically, we put on our nice clothes, fixed our hair and prepared ourselves for the overly sophisticated and traditionally versed wine tours. The AWSI will be holding their second annual awards party at Surf Expo, Saturday Sept 7th In addition to serving free beer and refreshments the AWSI will announce the winner of the 2013 Windsurfer of the year award. For the 2013 award the winner will be determined by the outcome of online voting on an entrant's video submission. The voting will take place on Windsport Magazine's website. The AWSI is a North American windsurfing industry association, and as such perspective entrants are encouraged to consider their relevance to the North American windsurfing industry. Contest entrants should be top level/pro riders that will be recognized by readers of Windsport Magazine.
