wipe outs wipe outs wipe outs. even the big dogs have some trouble! Tucker, Bruce and Ashley filmed the Rolex Big Boat series on the boats, by water, by land and by air. All of the daily coverage highlights are on www.t2p.tv. Enjoy :)
We ran the M/V Caribbean Explorer as captains/managers between 1992 and 1997 (6 months on/off). The regular dive itinerary was St Maarten- Saba and St Kitts. This was a first class operation and divers enjoyed the great diving in Saba & St Kitts. We were even nominated #1 worldwide dive operators in the first Rodale's reader's survey! I made a weekly underwater video of each trip by combining the best stock footage I had to-date and shots taken of our passengers during the week. Many divers bought the week's movie to take home a souvenir. This film is the result of over a thousand dives in the area. This film is dedicated to all our crews and passengers during these fun trips!

We spent 6 weeks in NZ experiencing as many places, activities, accommodations, food and modes of transportation as we possibly could. We scheduled everything via internet and our 6-week vacation went without a hitch ... amazing and a testimonial to the quality of NZ tourism operators. This film in several parts shows you what we did so you get ideas of what to visit yourself! Look on www.TropicalSailingLife.com for a detailed pdf document that details all operators' details. This trip took place in 2003 so some info might not be current anymore but it certainly will give you a good overview of NZ tourism

The Farr 30 Class is making a comeback. This year they signed up to sail their World Championship as part of this year's Rolex Big Boat Series hosted by the St. Francis Yacht Club on San Francisco Bay. The temperatures were chilly and the winds were rarely below 20k. That's a handful in a 30 foot boat and the sailors got a first hand look at just what the Bay can dish out. It wasn't survival conditions, but it certainly put a premium on good boat handling skills. You'll see some great downwind rides here: boats running through chop with spray flying and the front third of the hull hanging over the top of the next wave. There's also the requisite amount of carnage -- sails so wrapped the only way to untangle it is with a knife.

Valdosta, GA is the next stop on our Best of the Road search for the friendliest small town in America. We discover friiendly faces everywhere we go, even on the furry ones.
We visit Mt. Airy, NC and find ourselves in another time and place. Walking the streets and talking to the locals is the best part of visiting this town and it doesn't take long to realize where the idea for Mayberry came about. Mt. Airy is a place where there are no strangers and there is never a dull moment.
