Participan en una regata que organiza en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria la Federación Canaria de Vela con el Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria.

This is what it looks and feels like to get hammered by a storm on a boat. While moored at Camden Haven we got hit by a late afternoon supercell thunderstorm. A beautiful sight as it arrived - the night sky lit up like a lightning bolt xmas tree. Not so beautiful when it hit, 80-90 km/h winds which tossed the boat from side to side and strained the mooring lines... ahhhhh sailing.

Participate with the Sail Malaysia 2018 to Langkawi crew in the events organized in Langkawi, the rally final port. First we have a quick look at islands along the way from Pangkor including Penang where no event was organized this year due to a lack of good anchoring & dinghy landing. We take a short island tour where we visit the Sanctuary Bakau in the Kilim Geoforest Park to help with the reforestation project and have a quick look at the Oriental Village followed by a nice dinner at the Rice Museum. Next day we have a look at Rebak Marina and the farewell cocktail there. I mount the electronic box with the glow plug and the starter relays and talk about how the fuse system works. And then at least I fill up the system with new original Volvo coolant fluid so the system can be protected from corrosion from the inside. The coolant will then protect the engine for the next 2 years and is the kind there is ready mixed so it protect the engine against frost damage down to -25 centius degrees. The coolant is the green version for this engine model.

Summer is coming to an end, Roger har started working again after his summer vacation and Marena is inviting Eddie for an overnight hike on Saltfjellet to pass the Arctic Circle. We are enjoying one of the last weekends of this sailing season on top of a 450 meters high mountain. Sailing in Northern Norway is the number one activity for us, Marena and Roger Leivseth. We love our Argo, which is a German built Bavaria 31 Cruiser, 2008. Sailing is giving us rest, peace and energy. In these beautiful surroundings it is always a pleasure to take our beloved sailboat out for a cruise. We live up north in Norway, in Fauske, just north of the Arctic circle close to the Lofoten Islands. We experience the midnight sun during summers and polar nights during the winters. Our sailing season usually starts in the end of March due to the polar nights and temperatures way below freezing during winter. We normally end the sailing season in October for the same reasons. We are very fortunate to live in these surroundings with the love for sailing. The nearby areas are lovely places to visit, both fjords, archipelagos and islands in open sea.
