After 51 days across the Pacific against winds and currents we finally see... land! Land ho! 350 miles off the coast of Costa Rica. Low on food, water, diesel this island becomes our lucky strike. An uninhabited ever-green island shaped by deep ravines, valleys, 200 waterfalls rising out of the depth of the Pacific belonging to part of a volcanic chain of submarine volcanoes stretching until the Galapagos islands. A pirate island? Yes. A treasure island? Yes. Uninhabited? Yes and No. National Park? - Yes, Costa Rica's most remote one with lots of endemic species! We are surprised by huge creatures below us on anchor. And then by our first Ticos we ever met, fully armed!
