Exploring Saint-Tropez Before Our Wild 9.5-Knot Sail Past Porquerolles

710 Visninger· 29/11/25

In this episode, we sail into the world-famous town of Saint-Tropez to finally see what all the fuss is about. The streets are buzzing with tourists in the late-August heat, the boutiques are filled with iconic designer labels, and the harbour is packed with superyachts. We enjoy wandering the charming lanes and soaking in the atmosphere—though the luxury price tags are definitely out of our league! The next day, we hoist the spinnaker and leave Saint-Tropez behind, bound for the Giens Peninsula. What follows is one of our best sails of the entire season. Helios comes alive in the breeze, powering up to 9.5 knots as we scream past Porquerolles. It’s exhilarating… and when we suddenly hear sirens blaring over the VHF, we can’t help but wonder: are we going too fast? Join us for sunshine, speed, and a slice of the Saint-Tropez lifestyle—Helios style.
