CHEAP MOORING in Normandy - Winter in Honfleur | SAILING WAYZGOOSE WARRIOR Ep 14

We were so happy to be in such a beautiful scenery sharing time with our little community here at the Marina that we decided to stay in Honfleur for a bit longer. Winter mooring is really cheap here… and as you already know, WE LOVE CHEAP! In the next few weeks we’ll be exploring la belle Normandy and getting a few jobs done before we start our trip down the canals. It’s Saturday before Christmas and it’s market day in Honfleur. The market itself is in the centre of town and it spreads out around the inner basin. The stalls are filled with local produce; cheese, saucisson, cider, all kinds of seafood… and the streets are full of life. After a couple of rounds around it Stuart spotted one of his favourites: merguez, so we bought a few of them and a baguette and headed home for lunch. As we are not going to be using the dingy during our trip through the canals and its floor needs fixing we get to work and put a new patch on it. Twenty four hours to dry and job done! We haven’t used any of the outboards since we got to France so we check if they work in case they need a service before we put them away. It’s been a long time since Stuart got to play on the dingy… I think that this was enough motivation to get the job done.
