INSIDE GREAT LAKES SAILING SEASON SEVEN SHOW NO. 166 - After a few weeks away following former America’s Cup participant John Sweeney’s legal challenge, Inside Great Lakes Sailing is back on the water. This episode takes us to the western end of Lake Erie for an intercollegiate offshore regatta hosted by North Cape Yacht Club. We caught up with the talented student-athletes competing on the water and spoke with them on the docks about college sailing and the sport’s future. We also heard difficult news from Michigan State’s club sailing team after a tornado tore through its Lake Lansing headquarters. The team shares what happened and how the sailing community—and the public—can help. Then Tom Meier gives us a preview of the Melges 24 World Championships in Harbor Springs, coming up next week.
