An uninhabited island with crystal clear blue water, sandy beaches and palm trees? Well that’s what we found when we arrived in Kauehi, our first atoll in the Tuamotus. The sail down from the Marquesas was a bit slow thanks to some unexpected light winds, but we did catch a few fish to make up for it. After making our way through the pass into Kauehi, we discovered our friends Gina and Jose on Carthago were inside the atoll and we quickly altered plans to go spend some time with them.
