Blueberry pancakes have been part of Sabre gatherings for more than 40 years, and it’s a tradition we’re incredibly proud to carry on. Bright and early Sunday morning, our team fired up the grills and got to work, serving breakfast to our owners one last time before everyone headed home. Of all the traditions we’ve built over the years, this will always be one of our favorites.

Yacht brokers Wiley Sharp and Bill Regan are back for episode 5 of Cat Chat Live: Life Between the Hulls, the show about what's really happening in the catamaran market from two brokers who live in it every day. This week: instead of a single make and model, Wiley and Bill zoom out to a whole class of boat — the sub-$300,000 cruising catamaran. As pandemic-era prices finally come back to earth, they break down which older Lagoons, Leopards, and Fountaine Pajots are worth a look, what to budget for standing rigging and refits, and why a smaller boat that's already been upgraded can beat a bigger "bargain" that isn't. They also pull back the curtain on survey day — the single most nerve-wracking day in the buying process. From what a surveyor is actually looking for (and why sellers should stay off the boat), to the haul-out, the sea trial, the full-power engine test, and the findings that show up on almost every survey, this is the closest thing to a field guide you'll get. Naturally, a few war stories come with it — including a mouse in the mainsail and a dock line lesson Wiley won't forget. Plus: their between-the-hulls catch-up on why St. Augustine has quietly become one of the East Coast's best catamaran hubs, and this week's Broker Pick — the catamarans they'd actually buy for under $300K. Topics covered: • Why St. Augustine, FL is becoming a go-to catamaran hub • Affordable cruising cats under $300K: Lagoon 380/400/440, Leopard 38/39/40/46, Fountaine Pajot Mahé 36 and Lavezzi 41 • What to budget for on an older catamaran (standing rigging, engines, refits) • A full walkthrough of survey day, start to finish • What surveyors actually check in the water, out of the water, and under full power • The most common findings on catamaran surveys • Broker pick of the week: best sub-$300K cruising catamarans Have a topic you want Wiley and Bill to cover? Email the show or leave a comment on YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.

Barbate is where the boats the orcas have attacked end up. We left Gibraltar at sunrise and sailed straight past it. This is the stretch of coast every sailor going to the Atlantic has to cross, and there is no answer to it. The advice is to hug the shore in about five metres of water, so we did — hand on the wheel the whole way, because if an orca hits a boat with the autopilot engaged it destroys the autopilot too. Flat sea, clear sky, the kind of day you should be sailing for pleasure, and instead we spent it watching the water for fins. Before any of that could happen the wind instrument had to be fixed. It was reading five knots in thirty, the only chandlery in Gibraltar sells almost nothing, and there is no crane in the yard to get anyone up the mast. So the Furuno sensor went on the stern arch two metres off the deck, which meant cutting into the cable — a thing I have had to do once before and was hoping to avoid twice. Then Cape Trafalgar, where the fishing nets run all the way to the beach and push you out into exactly the deep water you have been avoiding all day. A regatta none of the competitors seemed able to navigate. A week anchored off Rota with a dead watermaker and no showers. And, at the end of it, another sailboat leaving harbour a few minutes ahead of us and unknowingly doing us an enormous favour. Next week we cross into Portugal. CHAPTERS 0:00 The wind sensor that lies 1:01 Under the floor, before anything else 3:08 Cutting the Furuno cable — again 4:09 “If it was easy it wouldn’t be an adventure” 5:19 Anchor up before sunrise 6:04 Out into the morning 7:44 Sun-track on flat water 9:07 The lighthouse island 9:59 Past the lighthouse 11:08 An afternoon off the boat 12:08 The boat ahead is the bait 13:06 The orca conspiracy theory 13:57 A question for Spain about the nets 14:53 Into Cádiz 15:49 Vlad at Rota 16:45 A new boat makes new noises 17:52 A sporty day 19:04 Cheap rope Filmed aboard SV Goat, a Lagoon 400 we live on full time. Why clients don’t follow through isn’t always about the quality of your advice. If your health coaching clients know what to do but still aren’t making lasting changes, the missing piece may be behaviour change coaching. You can have what feels like a great coaching session. Your client is engaged, motivated and leaves with a realistic action plan. Then they come back the next week and...nothing has changed. It’s easy to assume you did something wrong or simply don’t know enough. I used to think the same thing. But eventually I realized I was trying to solve a behaviour change problem with an education model. Health education helps clients understand what to do. Behaviour change coaching helps them actually do it. In this video, I’ll explain why more information and advice often aren’t enough to create lasting change, and the shift that completely changed the way I coach. Because your role isn’t to become the world’s biggest health expert. It’s to help clients turn what they already know into lasting behaviour change. ▶️ NEXT VIDEO I’ll show you the mindset shift every health coach needs to make to help clients take greater ownership of their health and follow through on change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSdEnmRIWIc 🎁 BRILLIANT HEALTH COACHING BUNDLE Want practical tools to bring more structure and confidence to your coaching sessions?

► Following its world premiere in the United States, the Aquila 45 Sport has finally crossed the Atlantic to make its European debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. ► With its muscular SUV-inspired styling - according to the builder - and twin 600 hp Mercury Verado V12s, the flagship of the Sport range is hardly discreet. Its twin-step hull is claimed to reach more than 50 mph (43.5 knots), but it was at anchor that we were really able to appreciate the clever features of this large dayboat. ► Starting with the two hydraulic side terraces: once lowered, they increase the beam from 15' to 19'3" (4.57 to 5.88 m) and transform the cockpit into a genuine beach club. You can dive directly from the platforms or simply place a beanbag there and enjoy the anchorage. Aft, a large electric awning slides out from the hardtop to protect the area from the sun; its rapid deployment also means it can be retracted quickly if the wind picks up. ► Forward, there is another clever idea: beneath the large bench seats are nearly 12.4 cu ft (350 l) of watertight storage, complemented by wet lockers dedicated to fenders and equally well suited to drinks or still-dripping swimming gear. The cockpit features two U-shaped bench seats that convert into a vast sunpad, while four seats face a particularly well-connected helm station. Below deck, a cabin with a large bed and private bathroom allows the program to extend beyond simple day boating. ► And some good news to finish? We have an appointment in Saint-Raphaël in a few days for a full test. ► Technical Specifications: Builder: Aquila Catamarans Construction: Vinylester infusion Designer: Yacht Design Works Length: 46'6" (14.17 m) Beam: 15'/19'3" (4.57/5.88 m) with terraces open Draft: 2' (0.6 m) with engines raised Air Draft: 9'11" (3.02 m) Light Displacement: 9.96 t Powertrain: 2 × 600 hp Mercury Verado V12 MAX Speed: Over 43 knots claimed Fuel: 400 US gal (1,514 l) Water: 50 US gal (189 l) Cabins: 1 Berths: 2 CE Category: B10/C20/D29 ► www.aquilaboats.com ► Sign up for our newsletter and win a free two-month subscription to Multihulls World by clicking here: https://bit.ly/48JP1Vk ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests!
