We left Smoo Cave and began one of the most dramatic drives of our Scotland adventure. The journey took us through incredible Highland landscapes, past the spectacular Kylesku Bridge, and eventually all the way to the Isle of Skye. Scotland certainly didn’t disappoint. We experienced wild winds, dramatic skies, huge mountain valleys, and even spotted two majestic stags early in the morning. Along the way we also saw an incredible double rainbow, and discovered a stunning waterfall near Loch Cluanie on the A87 road. Finally we crossed the iconic Skye Bridge and reached the Isle of Skye — a place we’ve always wanted to visit. In the harbor of Karlovasi at Samos, when we turned our back to the see, we looked at a high hill with a beautiful church. However, it was quite difficult to get there with our bike and scooter. Luckily—long live the drone—it can take a look almost anywhere 😉 It turned out to be the Church of the Holy Trinity, beautifully positioned on an elevated location above the port. We stopped at the Queen’s Bath and Glass Window Bridge in Eleuthera during high tide with 15–25 knots of northeast wind, and the Atlantic side was absolutely exploding over the rocks while the Caribbean side was calm — an incredible place to see the power of the ocean. The wind was forecast to build throughout the day and the Glass Window Bridge was eventually closed, but for us the bigger concern was timing our departure to make it through Current Cut at the right time with wind and current lining up.
