Passage par Laukvik puis cap vers le prochain ferry par la route côtiere magnifique jusqu'au prochain ferry, direction l'aventure suivante...

Wir haben fünf Monate Zeit, sind uns aber im Klaren, dass wir nur einen Teil dieses riesigen Landes kennenlernen werden. Wir bevorzugen, ausgewählte Bereiche mit etwas Zeit zu erleben als unendliche Kilometer abzureißen. Was hier in Australien aufgrund der Unendlichkeit durchaus möglich wäre. Die Qualität der Straßen in Australien ist eine Zumutung – um nicht zu sagen lebensgefährlich. Ob kleine Nebenstraße oder 4-6 spurige Schnellstraße. Alle sind gespickt mit Schlaglöchern. Wenn es nicht rechtzeitig gelingt diesen auszuweichen, kracht unser Interstate One mit den Vor- oder Hinterrädern in diese hinein und man hat Sorge, dass die Radaufhängung unbeschadet überlebt. Am Straßenrand liegen immer wieder zerfetzte und aufgedunsene Kadaver von Kangaroos und Wombats, die dem Straßenverkehr zum Opfer gefallen sind. Wie die Schlaglöcher sind auch sie markiert. Brigitta war natürlich vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben passte als in meins. In den folgenden 6 Monaten hat Brigitta aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich über unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. Insgesamt sind wir aktuell 4 ½ Jahre unterwegs. Ein Abenteuer folgt dem nächsten und wir genießen jeden Tag aufs Neue. Si parte da Venezia con destinazione Croazia, verso il Quarnaro. Usciti dalla laguna, a 16 miglia in alto mare improvvisamente l’asse del timone si spezza e restiamo completamente privi di governo. Allestiamo un timone di fortuna con l’asse di legno della passerella, che però non sarà sufficiente per governare adeguatamente e ci rassegniamo a chiamare i soccorsi. La guardia costiera ci scorterà fino a Chioggia, grazie al rimorchio di un peschereccio nei pressi dell’incidente. A Chioggia troveremo gente di mare disponibile e gentile che si farà in quattro per aiutarci a rimediare e riuscire a ripartire.
