This Beneteau Oceanis 46, SILVER LINING, is a very popular cruising yacht, known for her comfort, space, and balanced sailing performance. She has been carefully used and maintained and has never been used for charter. Rigged as fractional sloop, SILVER LINING is equipped with a fully battened Hood Sails mainsail, a Hood Sails furling genoa, and a powerful Cruising Chute that has only been used three times. The cockpit layout is thoughtfully designed for short-handed sailing, with all lines led aft and winches positioned within easy reach of the helms. Jean’s had lots of boat adventures over the last 20 years. She, her husband and daughter spend two weeks every summer on their beloved Sharpie in the San Juan and Gulf Islands. She’s also sailed in Baja, the Bahamas, and the Philippines, mostly on small boats held together with hope and duct tape. Jean has worked as a marina manager and lived on a variety of boats, including a 90-foot converted fishing tender (shag carpet and all), a 60-foot sailboat and a tiny 160 square foot houseboat. Jean and her husband were married on their little tugboat back in 2006. For her next adventure, Jean is planning to solo the WA360 in a small sailing and rowing boat, just to see if she can do it. The wind speed increased throughout the day from 5 to 10 to 10 to 15 as predicted. We sailed south along the west coast of Southern Door County to Red River County Park and then back.
