At last a new Opac Mare Passerelle installed on the stern of our Oyster 625 Querer. The old carbon passerelle with all the hassles is now not any more necessary.

In this episode we take a tour of downtown Fort Worth. We stayed on the 5th floor at the Fairfield Inn downtown and attend a friends birthday party at the Bankhead Brewery. From there we make our way to Studio 80 for nightlife and eighty's music dancing. The next morning we find our way to the historic Fort Worth Water Gardens, and then we head over to the Cultural District on 7th Street to many of the speakeasies hidden there. Along the way we found some new places like the Shipwreck Tiki Bar and have a custom island cocktail. We had fish for dinner and headed back home to end the night by the fire. A bit of a cold and gray day on the ICW. With no heat in the cockpit and the generator broken, no recycled heaters, we're just kind of working our way south as best we can. An early morning up and going before sunrise ends long before sunset. We reflect on the decision of whether to get off the dock. Sometimes it is a much better idea to not leave than to take a chance.

If there is one skill thing to learn being a full time sailor, it is patience. We are always waiting for, the weather, a part or in my case here, to go to court. And at this anchorage is really testing my patience. I clean up after the police search and can't find certain things. The swell and waves bounce us around. The Chilean fjords is a region about 2000 NM that extends from Puerto Montt to Cape Horn. A region similar to Alaska in the Southern Hemisphere it is equally beautiful but much more desolate. As you sail South you hardly see boats nor human settlements while enjoying a uniquely beautiful environment with challenging hikes and mountaineering opportunities. If you have sailed Alaska be ready for stronger winds and a lower temperatures for a given season.
