That is compost bags or agricultural films, or whenever the reusable alternative is impossible, such as cutlery or plates. For optimal biodegradability there is a need for industrial composting facilities and collection systems. The only safeguards, which are currently not mandatory, are certifications. These should be more demanding, particularly in terms of toxicity and biodegradability analysis. The question of non-competition with agricultural resources must also be addressed.

Luckily, you can keep your cool and charge your car's A/C like a pro with these simple tips. Not only will you be able to enjoy a refreshing drive, but you'll also save money by avoiding a trip to the mechanic. Chilling Out in Style: Charge Your Car A/C Like a Pro! The first step before just adding Freon to your car's A/C is to check the condenser located in front of your radiator. If this is clogged with bugs, dirt, or just bagged up to bad it will cause the car 's A/C not to cool. If it just needs to be cleaned great, spray it down with a hose and go for a ride. Now if the condenser is damage you may have to seek a professional. If below the green, add Freon until you are in the green, there is no need to take it to were the green meets the yellow. Congratulations, you just charged your car's A/C like a pro! Most of the products you can buy like A/C Pro have an additive that will help repair any small leaks you have in the system. They will not repair a system the is leaking like a sift. Also if the meter when connected with the car running is in the yellow or red, probably going to have to seek a professional.  Cool Tips for a Refreshing Drive: Keep Your Car A/C in Top Shape! To keep your car's A/C in top shape, it's important to use it regularly, even in the winter months. This will prevent the compressor from seizing up and keep the seals lubricated. The region on Guna Yala (the San Blas Islands) experiences different levels of activity and busyness throughout the year, depending on various factors. Christmas, Carnival and Easter are definitely busiest. Much like years behind, our catamarans in San Blas are already booked out for the major holidays mentioned above and, for example, trying to book a yacht charter for Christmas is almost impossible unless we have a cancellation. Can we escalate our resources to meet demand? the answer is a rotund "no" and this is because this Caribbean region is definitely not your typical Caribbean sailing charter destination. No marinas where to dock, no repair facilities, no fuel, gas etc, limit the amount of charter boats that can provide a decent service with all the responsibilities. San Blas is neither a tourist trap nor a mass tourism location. The whole untouched and unmatched beauty of San Blas would not have prevailed throughout the years if the islands could be sold to foreign entities or there had been any sort of major investment in infrastructure. Peak tourist season in San Blas typically coincides with the dry season, which runs from December to April. During this time, you can expect more tourists in the islands adjacent to the road and the ports in the coastline. Unlike other Caribbean sailing destinations such as the BVIs, USVIs, Sint Maarten, Antigua,etc, which get hit by hurricanes during the summer, the archipelago of Guna Yala can be visited year-round. Busiest dates in San Blas: - Christmas: starting December 24th and ending January 5th, charters quotes increased by 20% - Carnival: dates vary each year, no extra charge: consult exact dates here - Easter: dates vary each year: consult exact dates here charters quotes increased by 20% It's best to plan your visit or activities based on your priorities and preferences, considering factors like weather and your specific interests. High season brings the postal-perfect conditions in San Blas but you will not be alone. Wet season, May-October on the other hand, sees almost no boats or tourists but you may have occasional and sporadic rain which can be persistent in very few cases. Do not underestimate sailing in the wet season, it can be a complete pleasurable and even more unique experience. Planning your sailing charter outside major holidays is prefered but we understand you may be limited by work, school and other factors. Either way, our aim is to show you the best islands and cays. What is the point of visiting Dog island, Pelican island or any other busy islands when we have around 250 square miles of untouched natural wonders to discover? Book smart, get informed. Le capitaine essaie plusieurs trucs et après recherches et analyses les hypothèses sont que la pompe à fuel ne fonctionne pas. Alors je défais, 1 caoutchouc sur 2 de capoute. On change les 2. Remonte et essaie de faire fonctionner le moteur. Donc on essaie encore et encore et là, la batterie qui est neuve d'un an commence à fatigué. On utilise le power pack mais lui aussi on lui en a demandé beaucoup. On doit le recharger et ça lui prendra la nuit. De là on sait que la 1ère incident sur les 3 c'est la crime de drisse tombé en bas du mât. Ben non on a pas de chaise de mât. Repart à la marina en dinghy et va voir les mécanos et la boutique et à notre grande surprise, il nous prête la chaise pour monter notre drisse de grand voile yé! Une fois fait, Bruno retourne la chaise et achète une nouvelle batterie. Pendant ce temps j'enfile la grand voile, on aura au moins un problème de réglé sur trois. Encore une grosse journée. Paxos (also Paxi)is a small island south of Corfu. Paxos is 18 km2 in size and has about 2.500 permanent inhabitants. At the northerntip of Paxos, is a small town called Lakka which is located at the border of a sheltered bay. When we arrived in this bay, the water was so clear that if felt you could almost touch the seabed with your hands. We took our drone out to film this special bay and there you can see the bright turquoise water. What you can also see in this drone video is the yellow lines at the back of the boats. These are called floating lines, landlines, that you tie first at the back of your boat and then to a rock or a tree, so your boat stays in a steady position. Because normally at anchor, the boat starts turning towards where the wind blows it or the current pushes it. And this bay is very popular which means busy, so it’s a courtesy to others to use as little space as possible and more or less park the boat as if you are in a carparking lot! That also means, that after anchoring, you have to jump in the water (or take your dinghy) and drag the line towards a rock near the coastline or even to a tree and tie it to it. Luckily the water is still about 23 degrees at this time a year, and had an exotic emerald green color, it’s not a bad experience! Next to a nice view over the bay, the drone also flew towards the small town of Lakka. You can see it is a cozy maze of white houses with brightly colored shutters. Many houses are covered with ceramic roof tiles.

Navagio Beach, located on the Greek island of Zakynthos, is known for the iconic shipwreck of the MV Panagiotis. In October 1980, the cargo ship, believed to be smuggling cigarettes, ran aground in the bay due to bad weather and poor visibility. The crew abandoned the ship, which has since been beached and given its current name; previously it was known as Agios Georgios. The beach, surrounded by high limestone cliffs and clear blue waters, is only accessible by boat. However, due to safety risks from landslides and erosion of the surrounding cliffs, the Greek authorities have decided to close Navagio Beach to visitors until further notice. This measure was taken after incidents in 2018 and 2022 involving landslides, partly caused by earthquakes in the region. Visitors can still admire the beach and shipwreck from cliff-top viewpoints, but we were lucky because of our private catamaran to get real close to the beach and the shipwreck! We took our drone with us so we could film the shipwreck even closer.

When our generator and engine both die at sea, we contemplate what is a necessity and what is a luxury, and the life we left back on land. So much of our lives in apartments are luxurious but not necessary--we just think we need all these things and comforts because we are used to them. But what about more sustainable, community-based lifestyles? All these thoughts swirl around my head as I painstakingly stir the boat to catch as much of the low wind as possible. We sailed for 4 days only checking our navigation apps once or twice to make sure we were still hitting all our waypoints. It was secondary to the wind shifting, telling us we were in fact where we planned to be. It was exhausting, but we learned a lot about the boat and ourselves. The rough seas and rainbows are all part of the highs and lows of sailing. Finally, near the harbour, we turned on our electricity, which we saved for our VHF call for a tow.
