I came second in race 1, had to miss race 2 due to other commitments and only managed a 4th in race 3, so if I want a chance of winning the series I badly need a good result this week. Our week began with a picturesque snorkel off the pristine beaches of Sandy Island, near Carriacou. 🤿 We had a farewell lobster feast with friends, checked out of the county, and then set sail North. ⛵️ We encountered a storm that brought along additional wind and lots of rain. We persevered, anchoring for the night in Bequia just in time to see a spectacular sunset! We left the next morning for St. Lucia. The sun was shining, and the wind was perfect. We have been approved for an SBA guaranteed business loan and will soon be sailboat shopping and moving aboard. We currently reside in Vero Beach, Florida and will be moving to Vieques, Puerto Rico to launch our business. There are still many unknowns and pieces that have yet come together. We likely will buy a sailboat in Florida and have to deliver the vessel, island hopping, down through the Caribbean to Puerto Rico. Michael Coxon, Dave O’Conner and Trent Barnabas of Thurlow Fisher Lawyers were crowned 18ft Skiff Australian Champions today after sailing a faultless race on Sydney Harbour. The trio led the final heat of the championship from the start line and finished almost four minutes ahead of second place. The NNE breeze challenged the teams as they saw everything from 4-15 knots. With half the fleet using their big rigs and half the fleet on small rigs, there was plenty of action around the racecourse.
