In July 2024 we explored the eastern and southern parts of South Africa. We started in Durban and made our way down to Cape Town by car. From there we took a flight to Johannesburg and visited the Kruger N.P. and Panorama Route. During our travels we encountered a lot of wildlife including the Big Five (above and under the water) and met incredible people along the way. The most memoriable moments happend at the Sardine Run where we got to see Humpback whales, Southern right whales, Common and Bottlenose dolphins and sharks. Turneffe makes for an ideal location to host our Belize Freediving Workshop and Snorkeling tour. Aside from the beautiful reefs and clear waters, there are a number of protected areas to explore with varying depth levels. This makes it the perfect training area to develop our freediving skills. Throughout the week, there will be workshops and in-water practical sessions aiming to give you time to improve your skills. These skill come in handy when exploring shallow coral reefs. We'll be based at Turneffe Island Resort for the duration of the tour. We'll be accompanied by a freediving expert (Emma Farrell) and an assistant, who both bring along a wealth of experience. All this is of course combined with plenty of time for snorkeling over the reefs.
