Sooner or later if you anchor often enough you WILL get your anchor stuck. Whether it's under a rock, or on an piece of junk on the sea bed, if your anchor fluke works its way under something then it can be very difficult to get it out. If you are anchoring in a known anchorage to have foul ground then you'ld be wise to use a trip buoy from the start, but trip buoys are a pain to use at the best of times which is why you rarely, if ever, see them used. So what do you do if you get your anchor really stuck? Well this happened to us recently and we showed some of if in the episode. Many people wanted to see more of the procedure we went through to get it unstuck and the use of the Ultra Anchor Ring, which is what finally got it unstuck for us. We enjoy our last day at Little Cayman Island where we "borrow" some bikes and explore...we see the famous Blue Iguana and I show you some quality 💩😂 We sail back in the HH catamaran at awesome speed flying the Gennaker for half the trip. If you are really keen on equipment on boats I do a bit more of a review about bow thrusters on catamarans and the tensioning of the stays on the HH55 as well as look at more cool gear on the boat. At the time of the making of this episode SV Ohana-Uli is missing off the east coast of Africa and I say my bit about some types of modern catamarans that should not be taken out of the Caribbean. I am not criticising this cruising couple, I am criticising the cat manufacturers who are giving you guys out there more and more unseaworthy catamarans that are more akin to house boats than sailing vessels. Our boat was crashed into by another boat while we were filming some DIY videos on our blue water sailing boat (CADOHA), whilst moored up on the south coast of the United Kingdom. The past couple of weeks on our sailing yacht had been spent completing a long list of essential boat maintenance chores for our 1984 Trident Warrior sail boat. We originally bought our classic old boat up in Scotland and have gradually sailed her down, around the UK, via Ireland, before heading over to England, where we’re currently getting ready before we set sail for the Mediterranean in the spring of next year. It’s been a challenging year so far, with not nearly as much sailing being done as we would of hoped, thanks mostly to one accident that left Dominic with a broken leg. Life on the water certainly isn’t without it’s challenges.
