Seems like years since I went away for a proper holiday! Here's a little ensemble of videos and pictures from my Summer holiday in Pembrokeshire. I'm already an adopted "North Wales-er" but I absolutely loved the southern area of Pembrokeshire. It is just so beautiful and of course full of boats and great sailing!!! I was like a pig in muck exploring all the harbours and talking to people about their boats and was encouraged to see so many Drascombe boats just moored in the sea. I would recommend just getting a tent on your back and getting down here. It's awesome. Anyway hope you enjoy, will be back sailing very soon!

This time we leave Porto Colom Mallorca to go to Cabrera an island that first was a prison, then military base and now natural park well we think it´s a very cool place but to get there our sailboat turned into a rollercoaster ride. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our sailboat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is sail the Mediterrainean Sea and really enjoy life. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. In summary, submarine volcanoes like this release large quantities of gas bubbles into the water, even in quiet times between eruptions. This can lower the density of the seawater above the vent. This is very dangerous to shipping, because boats entering a zone of lowered water density will lose buoyancy and may sink. Not for Sale. Sugar Loaf Island – Folklore suggests that it is actually an ancient Egyptian pyramid due to its 4 sided pyramid shape, but no physical evidence has been found yet to support this. It is often used for weddings, yoga retreats and has a small cottage on its shore. Green Island – an uninhabited 25 acre lush tropical island with a small sand beach. Price upon request. Sandy Island – 20 acre uninhabited island. $9 Million GRENADA SAILING Next up – the main island of Grenada. We really did not want to go anywhere near the Grand Anse beach harbor where our friends boat was hijacked near St. George. So, we sailed along the windward side of Grenada to get to Clark’s Court, where we had a certified Yanmar diesel mechanic scheduled to work on our engine. Clark’s Court – Woburn Bay We anchored right in front of Calivigny Island, where all-inclusive nightly rates for reserving Calivigny Island start at $132,000, plus applicable taxes. During the festive season, from mid-December through January 6th, rates are available upon request. We also enjoyed spending time in Le Phare Bleu which had an excellent dock marina, restaurant, tropical cottages, live music on the lightship, pool, gourmet meat & wine shop, a cafe, clothing store and laundry facilities. Last but not least, we dropped a Message in a Bottle as we left Grenada. 100 days later, it turns up 1500 miles away in Mexico! What are the odds? Working with agencies can sometimes be...lets say more demanding than anticipated. Really nice on the other hand was our visit at Al Bateen Marine Training Institute for our practical training. At our first stop, Alor, we'll be amazed by the sheer beauty of the marine life and reef scapes. We hope to come across a couple of the ocean's most iconic inhabitants, like a superpod of dolphins and melon head whales, giant ocean sunfish, and even blue whales as we move from site to site. We'll be based at Alami Alor Resort, where we will be the only guests and will have exclusive access to their house reef. We'll then move over to the north of Sulawesi where we'll be based in the award-winning Siladen Resort. From this tiny tropical island, we'll explore the best snorkeling sites in one of Indonesia's oldest marine protected areas, Bunaken National Park. From the comfort of a lovely island resort,  we’ll be able to explore all the area’s best reefs with ease. Bunaken is famous for a lot of things, but it’s most known for its massive turtle population. We are sure to see many turtles while exploring the shallow coral plateaus, as they come to the surface for a quick breath or just cruise over the reefs. The final leg of this amazing tour will be spent in Raja Ampat, at the wonderful Papua Explorers Resort, located in the heart of the archipelago. Just a few minutes from the resort, there is a huge variety of snorkeling sites that play host to some of the most diverse marine habitats found anywhere on the planet. Expect truly pristine coral gardens packed with hard and soft corals that carpet the island slopes all the way up to the surface. Masses of fish life explode from the reefs, with good chances of swimming next to bigger fish such as manta rays, reef sharks, and schools of barracuda and jacks.
