#60 Un épisode de bons moments au chantier et d'avancement dans les travaux du bateau (on y est presque!). On commence d'abord en célébrant Noël à bord de notre voilier, le tout agrémenté de déco intérieur qui nous fait sentir chez nous. Après cette petite pause des travaux lourds, on se remet sérieusement à l'ouvrage et on range notre atelier de fibre de verre, nettoie le bateau et organise notre set-up de mouillage. Enfin, il est temps d'appliquer une peinture pour protéger notre safran en inox et notre grosse réparation interne de l'aileron de safran. Des étapes satisfaisantes qui nous rapprochent de plus en plus de la mise à l'eau. Ahhh! J'ai presque oublié! Narcose bij Bergman Clinics voor enkeloperatie. Niks engs aan. En wat een leuke mensen. Verpleegsters, de Orthopeed, anesthesist, echt 1 en al humor en meer kennis dan ik in elk ander ziekenhuis meegemaakt heb. En wat velen niet weten, het word allemaal gewoon door de zorgverzekering vergoed! Je zorgverzekering betaald daar net zoveel voor je behandeling als bij een regulier ziekenhuis?! Maar de kamers bij bergman lijken zo uit een sterrenhotel te komen en de zorg en nazorg is zoveel beter. En ik kan het helaas weten na al een keer of 30 elders te zijn geweest :( Nooit meer een regulier ziekenhuis voor deze jongen, van Bergman clinics kan de rest nog een kunstje leren en nee!!! Ik krijg niks voor deze positieve tekst over de Bergman maar ben zo larisch over dit bedrijf dat het wel een veer verdiend. Hoop dat ze snel meer vestigingen krijgen en de overige ziekenhuizen inzien dat ze wel een beetje beter met hun klanten om mogen gaan! Narcosis at Bergman Clinics for ankle surgery. Nothing scary about . And what nice people . Nurses, orthopedic surgeon , anesthesiologist, really one happy andfamily and more knowledge than I have experienced in any other hospital. Many people do not know , it all get reimbursed by the health insurance! Your health insurance pays there as much for a treatment as in a regular hospital ?! But the rooms at Bergman seem to come straight out of a hotel and the care and aftercare is so much better . And I know , after all , unfortunately, I have been 30 times elsewhere :( Never a regular hospital for this boy again. Hospitals can learn a lot from Bergman clinics and no!!! I’m not getting anything for this positive text off Bergman but am so positive about this company that it deserves a good note. Hope they soon get more locations and the remaining hospitals recognize that they should take a bit more care off their customers! Preparing our home for this years MASSIVE adventure across the Indian Ocean! https://www.sailingnandji.com/ In this episode of Sailing Nandji, we are fresh back to Nandji after a trip home to Australia for Christmas. It is a great feeling too be back on our sailboat after being away, Nandji truly is our home. Wasting no time, the very next day we haul out Nandji at Port Takola marina in Krabi province, Thailand. We plan to complete a bunch of small jobs including some electric repairs and installs, bottom paint, prop love and paint the bilge in the saloon. 2020 was shaping to be a massive year for us as we planned to sail across the Indian Ocean. Having no where to complete maintenance along the way, this visit to the boat yard was to prepare Nandji for the years travel ahead. So we haul out our home in Thailand. Let the boat work begin! With no sailing experience, we bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off from Australia sailing to the Pacific! We have since cruised through New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and then onto the boat yard in Malaysia to prepare for the years to come. With a new engine, we continued onto Thailand, then back down into Indonesia and specifically West Sumatra to live the island life and chase the surf. With our Sailing plans changing, we returned to Thailand to wait for the weather and begin our journey to the northern route of the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka before heading south across the Indian Ocean once cyclone season has finished and the trade winds begin! The adventure is just beginning as we plan to sail our Nandji girl around the world!! We departed the east coast of Australia in July 2017 and have since sailed over 10000nm offshore. We have explored some amazing countries and met some beautiful people along the way. We have experienced so many different and diverse cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of nowhere, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our lives doing it!
