Our transmission kept leaking oil and we found it to be the seal in the transmission arm. This wasn't good because along with it being somewhat of a big project, we also had to clean out the bilge to get all that oil out. Aside from boat projects, Jamie got us in touch with his niece and she showed us around Nassau a bit and helped us stock up on our rum at her liquor store. National Forest are known for there free primitive camping but this place was unlike anywhere else we have been because all the campsite were water front right on beautiful Lake Huron. Steve and Robin are eager to set sail for Newfoundland later this year. However, before they sail north on their long journey to Canada, there are a few important to-dos that need to be addressed to ensure smooth sailing—and, of course, a few creature comforts. In this episode, Steve and Robin run through their to-do list and explain the work that needs to get done before they can safely sail Arabella to Newfoundland. Luckily, the list of must-dos isn’t too bad. Steve needs to wrap up some maintenance work on the deck, reconfigure the wake speed and swap out the alternator, install the radar, sonar, and AIS systems, and complete a few other tasks. Robin’s honey-do list includes installing the hot water heater, optimizing the food storage area, and hooking up shore power. It’s all possible-ish. I took these pictures in France when i attended the 2011 Jeanneau international dealer meeting and on the last day of the 3 day event we toured the new factory where the new 409, 439, 44ds and others are built. This was my third time to France and the second time to this factory and i have to say it was the most advanced yacht factory that i have been to and although the initial investment was huge to set up these facilities the savings that it passes on the the buyer of these yachts is truly amazing when you see multiple yachts being built right in front of your eyes. Most manufactures don't possess these techniques so the time it take them to build a yacht is double and thus costing more to build. When you are looking to buy a yacht really look at an compare closely what you are buying and what you are paying for. I feel that you will see a great value in this amazing yacht with superior design. Hello Everyone! In this weeks episode we have A LOT of fun. We made a couple of great friends in Bimini and we ran into some old friends as well. Jamie became a very close friend and also showed us around the island as well as all the secrets about the area. We went and checked out the Sapona Wreck which was used during the prohibition to store liquor that was shipped between The Bahamas and Florida. The ship was made of concrete and ran aground on the banks and now sits there as a part of history with a really neat story to tell. After diving and having an underwater photoshoot at the wreck we went and caught dinner! Jamie's quarantine project was setting out lobster hotels. With them plotted on his gps we went and checked them out. Jamie was nice of enough to cook us an amazing lobster pasta and per usual we had a silly, hilarious, wonderful dinner!! We also ran into a friend from Key West, Blake Olsen, who is an amazing at kite boarding and foiling!
