Am 23.06.25 verlassen wir den Hafen von Tilos und segelten erst Richtung Chalki. Später mussten wir leider motoren. Wir fuhren an der wunderschönen Hafenstadt Chaliki vorbei in die Nachbarbucht Potamos. Es war herrliches Wasser und ein schöner 360 Grad - Blick. Obwohl es sehr rollig war, blieben wir 2 Tage und konnten uns an der tollen Wasserfarbe nicht satt sehen. Am 25.06.25 motorten wir dann die 1,7 sm von der Bucht in den Hafen, wo wir an dem Schwimmsteg fest machten. Der Anker fiel in tiefblauem Wasser und die Stadt hat uns super gefallen. Das erste mal bunte Häuser statt der weiss/blauen der Kykladen. Wir aßen auch eine lecker Pizza und tranken einen Caipi an der Bar. Ich wollte gar nicht weg, so gut gefiel es mir! Am 26.06.25 segelten wir nur zu einer kleinen Nachbarinsel ALIMIA. Und es war wunderschön! Dort leben als einzige Bewohner Costa und Minna, die seit 5 Jahren auf eigene Kosten die verfallene Kirche und dazugehörige Kloster wieder aufbauen, bewohnen und bewirtschaften. Costa hat früher, wenn er auf der Insel beim fischen war, dort immer eine Kerze angezündet und sehr bedauert, dass die Kirche dem Verfall geweiht war. Irgendwann versprach er der Kirche, wenn er mal zu Geld kommt, würde er sie wieder herrichten. Er arbeitet hart in Rhodos und nach seiner Scheidung kehrte er auf die Insel zurück und baute mit Freunden die Kirche wieder auf. Corona kam ihm zu gute, da viele Freunde der strengen Ausgangssperre von Rhodos auf der Insel entflohen und ihm gerne halfen. Im Mai 2025 wurde sie dann geweiht. Die Kirche bedankte sich für die gute Arbeit und es kam statt finanzieller Unterstüzung nur ein ... weiter so ... die beiden bewirten Touristenboote auf bestellung - gegen eine Spende. Und nachdem Carlo Mittag die lecker Doraden auf dem Grill sah, fragte er, ob man bei ihm für Abend auch welche bestellen könne. Was wir nicht wussten, dass wir Abends die einzigen Gäste sein sollten, die vorzüglich bewirtet wurden. Dabei erzählte uns Minna noch von dem Kloster, ihrer beiden Geschichten und es war ein zauberhafter Abend. Wir hatten Abends noch eine Anfrage an die Mandraki Marina gestellt ob wir einen ihrer sehr begehrten Plätze erhalten und bekamen das ok. So legten wir am 27.06.25 ab und motorten anfangs, später konnten wir nach Rhodos segeln. Uns hat Rhodos richtig gut gefallen ! Viel Spaß beim Ansehen. At boot this year I was very much looking for things which brighten up a cold and wet January. The Boards hall was vibrant with plenty of activity going on the pool, including wing foil competition, and here pump foil racing. I loved the bright colours of everything and the energy, which was attracting a young audience into life on the water. The Sailing Yacht halls were dominated by white gelcoat, and looking at the bottom of hulls for the majority of the time didn't seem the best way to show them off. The Woy 26 daysailer really caught my eye. This beautiful wooden planing open dayboat looks like a lot of fun and received a Special Mention from the judges in the Best Specialist Yacht category of the European Yacht of the Year Awards. The boat combines a modern hull with traditional materials and had a striking finish, including a long carbon bowsprit for the asymmetric spinnaker. The combination of old and new here was stunning. The Allen range of fittings is colourful, and they're moving up the sizes, so we took a look at some of their new fittings, while the Baltic Safety Products in the clothing hall were also nice and bright. If you’re looking to race offshore on a budget, then the ALMA Class Globe 580 could be for you. Billed as a ‘one design’ ocean racing mini yacht, you can build the 5.8 metre long boat at home from a pre-cut CNC kit. 15 sailors chose to do exactly that and, racing solo, have completed 24,000 miles of the total 28,000 in the McIntyre Mini Globe Race. Barton had their nifty boom strut on a beautiful Tofinou 9.7 yacht, so I took a closer look at that, and the Clipper stand was nice and busy with people enquiring about the new RX 72 foot yacht, and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston delivered a great talk to a packed audience. The Bundeswehr had a camouflaged windsurfer, wing foil and yacht on show, while Sea Sure's new Rig Gauge Pro has been flying off the shelves, and they've also decided to go up the wire size range to cater for bigger yachts. Finally Birdyfish have brought out the IODA, which is a smaller version of their colourful foiling dinghy.

Fernanda hasn't been sailing Snipes all that many years but this is her second Snipe World Championship. She likes sailing the Snipe because it's a complete boat. It's physical and mental ability that determine the winner. Fernanca's seen how the people in the Snipe Class want to share information, both on the water and off. It's not just the tuning of the boat that you get help with, but also tactics. The Snipe is a very tactical boat. She recommends the Snipe to anyone looking for a boat when you want both Serious Sailing and Serious Fun.

Not many wrecks will let you swim through the propeller tube into the engine room...a great penetration dive with narrow doors & tight corners..but watch out for the fine silt. This ones not for the faint hearted - are YOU up for it ?? Courtesy of TXL productions.

Volevo Diventare Gilmour...... ma come vedete (e sentite) non ci sono riuscito..... vi racconto una storia: Ho 17 anni (è il 1977) sono a Zurigo con un mio amico di 16 anni. Abbiamo avuto un mitico colpo di fortuna lo zio di Angelo è il capo portiere dell'Hotel Nova Park; a Zurigo c'è un concerto dei Pink Floyd; e dove alloggiano????? All'hotel Nova Park!!!!! Lo zio di Angeloi sapendo quanto amassimo il gruppo ci invita a casa sua e noi non ce lo facciamo ripetere. Via su un treno pieni di emozioni per il concerto da andare a vedere. Arriviamo a Zurigo e andiamo subito al Nova Park..... un sogno!!!! Tutto l'albergo è per i Pink Floyd e per il loro staff. Ci aggiriamo increduli per quella situazione che neanche otevamo immaginare. Poi entriamo in una saletta bar ed ecco l'apparizione.... Dave.... Dave Gilmour in carne ed ossa. Per poco non ci prende un colpo, poi ci riprendiamo e, con un po' di coraggio e tantissima emozione, andiamo a salutarlo. "Hi Dave, you are the best!!!! In Italy we play Pink Floyd music" gli tendo la mano e..... lui me la stringe!!!!! Azzzzzzz, Dave mi sta stringendo la mano!!!!! Ci risponde qualcosa che non capiamo ma decidiamo che ci ha detto ci vediamo domani al concerto. E poi andiamo al concerto allo Sporthallestadion..... non abbiamo il biglietto ma questo cartellino che da allora conservo come un oggetto prezioso. Ci aggiriamo per la sala e ci sentiamo importanti per avere al collo qualcosa che dice Pink Floyd ARTIST.... E poi il concerto inizia e quando Daveattacca l'assolo di Time sento le sue dita sulle corde, sento la mia mano nella sua, sento le mie dita sulle corde.... Sogno di essere Gilmour!!!!!! Bellissimi sogni da ragazzi..... che peraltro non ho mai smesso di fare. Non sono diventato Gilmour ma oggi, 35 anni dopo, insieme a mia figlia che ha 17 anni, ci divertiamo a suonare "Wish you were Here" sorridendo di noi..... Forse non serviva diventare Dave per essere felice!!!!!!

Le mont Darwin, point culminant de le Terre de Feu, (2 429 m), qui surplombe ce glacier a été baptisé par le capitaine Fitz Roy en 1834 pour rendre hommage au pas encore célèbre naturaliste Charles Darwin qui l'accompagnait alors. Le Mont Darwin n'a été gravi qu'en 1961 et la chaine de Darwin explorée par des alpinistes français seulement en 2011. L'endroit serait il inhospitalier ?? Ce ne fut pas le cas pour nous ce jour là: ni vent, ni pluie. Seulement une panne de retour image du drone. Nous l'avons lancé sans écran de contrôle donc sans savoir ce qu'il filmait. Vu le résultat, on ne sert à rien. La prochaine fois on le laisse faire seul.
