Sunday 21st February saw a sizeable fleet take part in a long course Coastal Race. The fleet headed towards a southern direction, starting at 10am. The first boat to finish, at 12:50:07 was the Farr45 Comanche Raider, followed by Jarhead and Manana. When taking into consideration provisional ratings, it was the J109 Jarhead, skippered by Emilie Gregory, to be declared winner.

On pense partir vers Crotone mais un problème moteur nous fait faire demi-tour 3 heures après le départ. On reste bloqués 2semaines là bas en attendant les pièces pour réparer ça. Hon håller alltid positiviteten uppe och peppar alla runt omkring sig i alla lägen. 🧡Roberta har ett stort hjärta och de ungdomar hon tränar lär sig inte bara om basket, utan även hur man ska behandla sina medmänniskor, både på och utanför basketplanen. Hennes sätt att lära ut är ett praktexempel på hur en bra ledare ska vara.

When the leaves were brown, and the sky was gray, I went for a walk, on a winter’s day, and reminisced about all the boats I have seen and thought to myself, what a wonderful day. Actually, I had a great idea to share some of the things that forced me to question, what were they thinking? I point out my pet peeves with some of these sailing catamarans. From galley layouts to helm lookouts, from double butt seats to nose bleed lounges, from energy collectors to energy deflectors, from stairways to heaven to steps from hell, and from protection from the elements to stranded naked in the wild. These are the peeves that turned me off on certain boats and turned me on with other boats. Join me while I bitch and moan, complain, nitpick, and compromise over various aspects of boat layouts.
