I trail ride through the mountains in the coastal forestry , go to secret beaches, and meet other trail riders. This has been my favorite adventure in the Dominican republic, and in my travels in all.

Our Yanmar engine was bogging and eventually would die. Found out that the pick up line in the fuel tank was clogged with diesel bug / algae. Austins been adding diesel treatment to the diesel but but it never totally got rid of it so we fully emptied the fuel tank, removed the tank from the boat, put gasoline inside of tank as it is a degreaser and sloshed it around. Drained the tank again and the diesel bug and all algae came out. Austin then poured diesel treatment fluid into the tank and sloshed that around to get rid of the gas contents and any left over diesel bug / sludge. Austin then replaced the fuel water separator filter, changed the fuel filter as well, and reinstalled the fuel tank. We then filled up the tank and added fuel treatment to the new fuel. We are now diesel bug free and the engine is running great.

Hawaii has just experienced on of the biggest tragedies in recent history. Powerful wind storms push a devastating fire through the heart of historic Lahaina Town on Maui. This video is a collection of short clips from the days leading up to this gut wrenching catastrophe. We are still finding out the full extent of the damages on Maui, and the tragic loss of life that occurred there. Maui and its people have been devastated. It will take a long time to recover from this event, and Hawaii will probably never be the same again. We received new progress construction photos for our Seawind 1260, “Moments in Time”, that is being built in Vietnam and wanted to share the update for everyone as close to real time as we can. The boat has progressed into the “Detail and Quality Assurance” phase which is the last phase before completion. Toni redesigned my original Sailing with No Agenda logo and discusses her audacity in doing so. We also worked with Seawind and completed our boat logo graphics and name. We share our graphic mockups and discuss the Coast Guard requirements for boat name and hailing port and share how it will look on our transom. We rambled some and pandered for some thumbs up and Skipper Pete shares his nerdy Star Trek themed Christmas Tree. Début de notre Balade au Pérou : Côte du Pérou très différente du Brésil malgré une latitude identique. Ici avec le courant froid de humboldt, eau à 15 degrés qui fourmille de vie et paysages désertiques. Vie peu chère et peuple accueillant. Petit à petit on va monter en altitude vers Arequipa à 2400 mètres puis Cuzco 3400 mètres.

This time, the sea was kind to us! Ella and I sailed 180nm from Samaná, Dominican Republic to Grand Turk Island, Turks & Caicos, and this passage could not have been more different from the previous one: No waves. No squalls. Just steady 14–16 knots on the beam, full mainsail and Code 0, and Mirage gliding effortlessly across the ocean. The night sail was pure magic - full moon, calm seas, and that deep, quiet rhythm of perfect sailing. One of those moments that remind you why you go to sea in the first place. Daytime was just as beautiful: Sunbathing on deck Relaxed breakfast underway First glimpse of the iconic light-blue, crystal-clear waters of Turks & Caicos Most importantly - Ella truly enjoyed this sail. Smiles, calm seas, and that rare feeling when everything simply works. 🎶 Soundtrack: "Dreaming" by Camouflage sets the mood for the passage 🕺 And yes… stay until the end for a little afterparty with classic Italo Disco - because good sailing deserves good music. The AWSI will be holding their second annual awards party at Surf Expo, Saturday Sept 7th In addition to serving free beer and refreshments the AWSI will announce the winner of the 2013 Windsurfer of the year award. For the 2013 award the winner will be determined by the outcome of online voting on an entrant's video submission. The voting will take place on Windsport Magazine's website. The AWSI is a North American windsurfing industry association, and as such perspective entrants are encouraged to consider their relevance to the North American windsurfing industry. Contest entrants should be top level/pro riders that will be recognized by readers of Windsport Magazine.
