We leave Bowen early for a 100nm passage north to beautiful Magnetic Island. While the breeze didn't really co-operate, we enjoyed a glorious day on the ocean and spotted (up close!) our first whales for the season. Quelques images d'une partie au golf de Pleneuf Val André, un golf situé dans les Côtes d'Armor. Le temps était génial, l'entretien du golf parfait, les greens "ni trop ni pas assez" ... idéal ! Le vent s'est levé pendant le retour et nous avons compris combien ce golf devait être redoutable par vent soutenu. C'est un parcours de championnat très bien conçu car aussi adapté aux parties du dimanche : nous avons réussi à jouer notre niveau sans difficulté particulière et, en connaissant un peu les pièges, il doit être possible de jouer de vrais jolis scores (si pas trop de vent). In this episode we start sailing on a new sailboat, a Warwick 53 named Koro Vita. This boat can sail! So balanced at the helm, most of the time you don't need autopilot or hands on the wheel! During a day sail we head to a sandy island and swim along a coral reef and wall. We find numerous Crown of Thorns starfish here, and show the sort of damage that they do to the hard coral. Then we start our cruise with a trip up the Yasawa Islands chain, stopping at Waya Island, then Manta Ray pass / bay, before heading over to the Blue Lagoon. The captain of Koro Vita is Don, who introduces Jeannine to Marmite.... We swim with a large manta ray and have one feed in the lights off the boat's stern. Thanks for following!
