The views were like something out of a dream, captivating our senses and igniting a sense of wonder within us. Once we dropped anchor in Loch Spelve, we immediately knew we had stumbled upon an extraordinary place. The abundance of wildlife left us in a state of pure awe. Majestic golden eagles soared gracefully overhead, their wings spread wide against the sky. Red deer grazed peacefully along the shoreline, their elegant figures adding to the natural splendor that enveloped us. Eager to embrace every opportunity to connect with nature, we decided to hike up the magnificent Cruach Ardura. Little did we know that the experience would leave us speechless. As we reached the summit, the panorama that unfolded before our eyes simply took our breath away. The beauty of the surrounding landscape stretched out before us, a feast for the eyes that seemed almost too perfect to be real. Our journey continued, taking us towards Fishnish Bay in the Sound of Mull, our sails billowing in the wind. The thrill of the journey heightened as we passed the legendary Duart Castle, a stronghold steeped in history and evoking tales of ancient times. Upon arriving at Fishnish Bay, we felt an immediate sense of tranquility. This well-sheltered haven became our sanctuary for the next two nights. From the comfort of our anchored vessel, we were treated to spectacular views. With each passing day, our love for sailing deepened, and our appreciation for nature's wonders grew. The wind, seemingly choreographed to perfection, guided us through these remarkable destinations, unveiling their secrets one by one. Nous profitons d'une belle fenêtre météo et d'un week-end de 3 jours pour participer aux escales normandes . Nous voila partie après le passage du sas Quinette au port de Deauville que nous atteindrons vers 13H après 3 h de moteur par faute de vent . Nous faisons la connaissance d'un autre équipage venu aussi du Havre et après une belle après-midi ensoleillé nous finirons la soirée sur leur magnifique voilier, l'occasion pour les enfants d'organiser des parties de loup-garou. Le lendemain c'est chasse aux œufs pour Lola, un tour au marché dans le centre-ville , et pour se mettre en appétit un passage par la plage. Nous repartirons vers 13H30 après déjeuner. Le départ avec assez peu de vent arrière se transformera rapidement en vent de travers avec ce qu'il faut pour ce faire plaisir sur l'eau. In this shorter episode in Phuket, we're taking the sail quiver to a large sail loft for inspection and repair. We have had some issues with a few of the black laminated sails, and had already sent the jib to New Zealand from Indonesia. Now that we are out of the "yachting wilderness" and in a place with bigger yacht facilities like this sail loft, we are pursuing the opportunity to carry on with our warranty inspection, and to address some other minor nicks and rubs on the other sails. We explore the town, visit the ruins of Borgholm Castle, and take a bike ride through the meadows — and have a look at traditional Swedish Midsummer food. Then it’s time to plan our next passage. We show how we use PredictWind to check weather, routing, and local wind patterns before setting sail. We cast off, set the sails, and continue south — ending by sailing under the impressive Öland Bridge, which was Europe’s longest bridge when it was built in 1972, connecting the island to the mainland. In this episode my buddies & I go back to the Fort Pierce South Jetty for another epic kiteboarding session! Winds climbing up to nearly 30 knots and kicking everyone up high. I keep my Woo on my board and record my new persional record of 33.4' high while on a crazy string of jump boosting off the outside waves. Winds stay soo strong that we pretty much have the place to ourselves. But not everyone was feeling the fun. One angry old guy tries to get in my way repeatedly. Thankfully only causing a bit of drama and no accident. After that, me and my buddies had a super fun long session together. Everyone was boosting high. My buddy Derek even getting 50'+ high!!! De tweede dag van de IFR instructie tour door Scandinavie. Eigenlijk stonden de Noorse fjorden op het programma, maar net die dag lag er een complete band zeer laaghangende bewolking tegen de noorse westkust. Dus zijn we niet via Floro en het Geirangerfjord maar rechtstreeks via een tussenlanding op Sandefjord naar Trollhattan in Zweden gevlogen.
