Im Dezember wird die Bruty an Land auf das Werftgelände von Sopromar gestellt. Hier endet nun unsere Saison – zumindest für eine Weile. Nach zwei Monaten im Februar kommen wir zurück und das Boot kommt wieder ins Wasser. Als wir nachsehen, dieser kleine Moment der Spannung: Plane hoch, ein Blick hinein … und Erleichterung. Alles trocken. Alles heil. Die Winterplane und die Luftentfeuchter haben ihren Job gemacht. 🛠️✨ Doch es geht nicht nur ums Boot. Wie immer lassen wir uns treiben – auch kulinarisch. Wir entdecken Orte, die man nicht plant, sondern findet. Ein knuspriges Schnitzel hier 🍽️, frischer Thunfisch dort 🐟. Scendiamo in auto verso Brindisi per riprendere il nostro giro d'Italia. Ci fermiamo a Gabicce Mare per spezzare il viaggio. Il giorno successivo facciamo rotta verso Otranto e ancoriamo nella rada di fronte alla città. Sveglia alle 7, colazione e via verso S.Maria di Leuca dove sostiamo tutto il pomeriggio per qualche bagno e la sera salpiamo per l'attraversata notturna del Golfo di Taranto. All'alba, intravedendo le coste della Calabria, veniamo accolti da 25 nodi di vento, provenienti proprio dalla direzione dove avevamo pianificato la rotta, quindi poggiamo ed entriamo a Crotone. Una bella dormita e via verso Roccella Ionica, l'attraversamento del Golfo di Squillace mette ansia, invece avverrà completamente senza vento. Atterriamo nel primo pomeriggio, facciamo una passeggiata, un bel bagno e la sera ci concediamo una cena nel ristorante del marina. La prossima tappa dovrebbe essere il marina di Riposto di Catania, ma non avendo pianificato nulla, ed essendo in anticipo sui tempi previsti, scegliamo di tentare la visita delle Eolie. Avvicinandoci allo stretto, al traverso di Punta Pellaro il vento aumenta fino a quasi 30 nodi, tutti sul muso, decidiamo quindi di fare tappa a Porto Bolaro, un posto magico che a mio parere merita una sosta. Il giorno successivo ripartiamo per il passaggio dello stretto di Messina, le correnti in alcuni punti fanno avanzare Mon Etap a 9 nodi e in una zona di incrocio di due correnti la barca si gira di 90 gradi rispetto la rotta impostata, una sensazione stranissima. Passiamo al largo di Scilla, scattiamo qualche foto e poi rotta verso le Eolie. Entriamo nel marina di Lipari nel tardo pomeriggio, visitiamo il paese e ci facciamo una cena di pesce. Il giorno successivo, tappa bagno nella strepitosa rada dietro al marina e poi ci spostiamo a Vulcano dove daremo fondo in 7 metri e raggiungeremo a nuoto la spiaggia. La tappa successiva sarà Cefalù, una tranquilla navigazione a vela ci consente un bagno alla traina in 1300 metri d'acqua, arriviamo a Cefalù alle 5 di pomeriggio e facciamo un fantastico bagno e poi visitiamo il paese. Ultima tappa di questo episodio ci vede fare mille bordi con un vento impegnativo per superare Capo Zafferano, bagnati fradici e stanchi arriviamo a Palermo nel tardo pomeriggio dove ci concediamo una cena a base di arancini e un dopocena ricco di cannoli. L'indomani si rientra a Verona in aereo per tornare al lavoro.

We did not expect carnival to happen this year either as there is still some pretty strikt measurements on this island. But it looks like everything was just put on pause and the famous Martinique Carnival and nightlife took place just like normal again.
