Appendix T is new to the Racing Rules of Sailing. A version of it was a US Sailing prescription in the previous rules, but now it is a rule for all sailors around the world. This video goes through what it says and how it can affect your racing.

With Deb spending most time of her Dad's house helping him out, I have been spending most of my time taking care of the kiddos. Man do I respect single parents. It is so hard to maintain hobbies or personal likes as I find it challenging to even do the videos, which is why so often you see Swabbie in the videos with me. I can either watch her or include her :) This week we start to take the ceiling in the salon down to prepare for new insulation and a PVC bead board looking ceiling to bring some bightness down below. This will all be finished off with flush mounted LED lighting that is low draw and voltage. You can see in the video the previous owner put 4 110volt electirc home lights in the salon. It lights up like a football field and is not practical when not on the dock and shore power or running the generator. We also see some weird looking fish off the side and try to figure out what the heck they are. Cascais laid on an action-packed day for the conclusion of the 2017 RC44 Championship's penultimate event, the RC44 Cascais Cup. At the beginning of it, Igor Lah's Team CEEREF held a slender lead, but lost it to Charisma. By the start of the third and final race Alexander Novoselov's Katusha was leading by two points. Despite Team CEEREF sailing an immaculate final race, a second placed finish for Katusha enabled the Russian team to win the RC44 Cascais Cup by just one point. The RC44 Cascais Cup is the fourth event of the 2017 RC44 Championship Tour, which pits the world's top businessmen and the best sailors in the industry compete in high-performance one-design 44-foot carbon racing yachts. Each month we feature sailors who pursue the passion of sailing through education, lifestyle, and commitment to community. This month we were inspired by Gabriele Grant's story and she is our January 2024 Sailor of the Month. Novembre 2023, nous partons pour les premières vacances à l'étranger d'Ombeline. 4 heures de vol au départ de Marseille et on se retrouve sur Lanzarote, l'île la plus septentrionale des Canaries. Il fait bon, beau, c'est bien dépaysant mais c'est un peu trop venteux, en même temps l'archipel est connu pour ça. Nous irons également découvrir Fuerteventura, en empruntant la navette maritime. L'ambiance n'est pas tout à fait la même, donc ça vaut le coup de visiter. En résumé, c'est pas loin, c'est dépaysant, et ça donne envie de voir les autres îles. After spending hurricane season in Ocean World Marina Puerto Plata DR. We finished the last of our DIY projects in preparation for our first sail of the season off the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. We end up dodging several fishing nets along the way and marked each position to give us a better idea of how far off the coast we should sail. After an overnight passage, we arrived in the early morning hours at Samana Bay. We were enchanted by the beautiful jungle and amazing caves that the Taino lived in before we crossed the Mona passage to Boqueron, Puerto Rico. The trip turned out to be a gorgeous one thanks to the help of the gentlemen’s guide to passages south. We were able to pick a great window and sail the majority of our trip. In episode 2, Leigh takes us behind the scenes of the build of the first three-cabin Southerly 420 hull.

Today we look at the Lucky Laker WiFI Depth sounder and fish finder. I think if this works as it should then it could be an amazing way to work out water depths on a dinghy. We have a once over and will test it later in the winter. I also test out West Systems 655-1 flexible epoxy that is specifically designed to repair PVC based inflatables. Does it go to plan though?
