At the Quick Gyro Factory in Raveena, Italy, and here is the full lineup of all 13 models of the Quick gyro. So we start from the X2 and the X3 model - these are up to 3,900 nM of torque in a tiny little box that's 42 CM footprint. Juste après le carénage express Flo me rejoint pour passer le reste de la semaine à bord. La météo est ce qu'elle est mais si on n'y va pas on ira jamais. Jeudi matin nous voila parti pour Deauville mais le vent venant pile dans cette direction et comme ca fait longtemps que nous voulions aller à Honfleur, on décide en chemin de se laisser porter par le vent et d'aller à Honfleur. Petite marina très tranquille au bord de cette ville magnifique. Comme nous sommes arrivé en début d'après-midi nous profitons pour visiter. Vendredi midi , départ pour Ouistreham pour une navigation plutôt sympa au final car même si il y a peu de vent nous ferons beaucoup moins de moteur que prévu. Le samedi nous retrouvons l'équipage de l'association mer amitié (https://www.mer-amitie.com/) pour aller via le canal , passer une nuit à Caen. Nous serons accueillis par le club de Caen pour un petit apéro bien sympathique. Dimanche matin canal de Caen pour reprendre la mer à 13h suivi du retour au Havre.

We left Tobermory with high hopes, hoisting the sails as the wind and tides aligned perfectly for our journey. What followed was fantastic sailing all the way from Tobermory to Gigha, with the wind reaching up to 27 knots, and pushing us swiftly down the Sound of Jura. The thrill of the journey was briefly interrupted by a finicky headsail furler, but we tackled that issue upon arriving at Ardminish Bay in Gigha. The stunning scenery and the adrenaline rush made it all worthwhile. Les fêtes de fin d’année approchent et nous avons un peu le moral dans les baskets d’être si loin de nos proches en cette période. A l’Etang z’Abricots, Thibaut fait le point sur notre problème moteur expliqué dans la vidéo précédente : il est temps de mettre un bactéricide dans nos cuves de gasoil afin d’éviter de nouveaux problèmes. Juste avant Noël, nos amis du bateau Touka nous rejoignent en Martinique et c’est avec une grande joie que nous partageons la fête de Noël avec eux. Ensemble, nous décidons de nous installer à Petit îlet, dans le fond de la baie de Fort-de-France, pour célébrer le nouvel-an. Nous sommes rejoints par l’équipage des bretons Melabreizh et des québécois de Side by Side. Les grands et les petits profitent de ce merveilleux endroit, très calme, pour jouer, se reposer et passer de merveilleux moments ensemble ! Also known as pilot whales, this species is part of the oceanic dolphin family, and therefore is odontocete (a toothed cetacean). They are considered whales because of their size, as adult males can exceed 5 metres in length. Calderon dolphins can weigh between 1 and 2 tonnes and they are easily identi able. The characteristic dorsal fin has a wide base and is set forward on the whale’s back, curved towards the tail. The bulbous head is globe-shaped head and ends in a very slight beak. The colour is very dark, nearly black. This species, resident in Tenerife, is the most frequently sighted during whale watching trips; in fact, they are considered the least migrant of marine species in the world. Pilot whales are very sociable, with a strong sense of family or group. As they do not hide from humans, it has been possible to study them extensively.
