We prepare for and endure Hurricane Dorian's approach while in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. We thought we were far enough North but Dorian came in with some clout. We prepared Hangtime in a secure location; took down the jib, lashed the main and tied her tight with multiple lines and fenders. There are countless macro marine treasure to be found in Ambon. A macro and muck diving paradise. Most of the dive sites are located in front of the area called Laha where you can see countless amount of macro critters in the muck. Across the bay there are also a few dive sites where a divers can see even more creatures, specially snake eels. Although Lembeh is know for the outstanding muck diving, after a few of our dives, a diver that has been to Lembeh many times, told us that the diving in Ambon is like Lembeh on steroids. #MuckDiving #ScubaDiving

Hi .. . this is not a normal episode. Just wanted to update on my whereabouts. I have made it to Havu Port on the southern tip of Oshima. It was a bit of a miserable day yesterday sailing from Misaki here but I learned a lot facing mild adversity. Have made some adjustments and leaving here within the next hour or so. My goal is to get blue water experience, and I have a permit good for 30 days that allows me to go beyond 5 nautical miles of shore. I will be a couple hundred or more. I may go as far as Okinawa but not sure. It depends where the wind and waves take me. I have a kind invitation to visit Amami Oshima so would like to visit there. The MC52 might be the smallest multihull in the McConaghy range, but this cat is no kitten. The MC52 not only benefits from McConaghy’s vast experience building performance boats but also from a carefully considered use of carbon, that sees her precise hull forms achieve an optimum strength to weight ratio. As with all McConaghy Multihulls, the MC52 has dual helm positions on the flybridge, allowing for the greatest sight lines forward as well as an elevated position that aids more difficult in-port manoeuvres – making her an ideal choice for those new to multihull cruising. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei generalüberholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Era fine giugno di questo strano 2024, stavo andando verso Monfalcone per iniziare il trasferimento della mia nuova barca a vela, e da solo in macchina facevo alcune riflessioni su come poter raccontare la mia nuova avventura, e magari come iniziare a cambiare vita. Queste immagini non le avevo inserite nei primi video pubblicato perché pensavo di inserirle in un episodio in cui alla fine non hanno trovato il loro spazio: mi dispiaceva non farle vedere, perchè secondo me sono quei pensieri legati ai momenti in cui si è da soli e si parla con la pancia, quindi eccoli qui. Sono davvero pochissimi minuti, nemmeno tre dopo aver tagliato il superfluo, spero che facciano una bella eco in qualcuno che come me trova nel mare e nelle barche quel bel sentimento di serenità e al tempo stesso quella motivazione di fare quello che si vuole e non quello che si deve. There's not much wind today but we make the most of it by getting all 3 sails poled out on Lulu, the Drascombe Lugger. Now usually this sailing dinghy doesn;t fait too well when running, espoeically in lighter winds, but armed with our booms and poles, she flies down to the bottom of the lake in no time at all. We have lunch whilst watching the wind die, so we motor back but test out a theory on whether the Mizzen can help us steer. After flying our gennaker we decide to go anchoring in Lake Erie once again. We find the perfect anchorage next to Welland Canal in Gravely Bay. We dinghy to the breakwall and walk around. Unfortunately, the rainy fall weather brings some not so nice surprises and forces us to do more boat projects like rebedding of leaky portlights and chainplates.
