49er crew Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen and 470 pair Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page led the way for the Australian Sailing Team on day four of the Delta Lloyd Regatta in Holland.

Australia's 49er crew of Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen brought home the Gold medal at the 2009 Delta Lloyd Regatta in Holland.

The world's oldest single-handed yacht race. 30 competitors set off from Plymouth England to sail trans-atlantic to Newport Rhode island in the U.S.

Each day of the regatta the winners take part in a match race in the harbour - Australia's Nathan Outteridge and Will Ryan took part with Nathan bringing home the prize.

Race victories and ladder climbing was in order for the Australian Sailing Team on day three of the 2009 Delta Lloyd Regatta. In the 49er class Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen won two races and sit in third place while in the 470s Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page won a race.

Quelques jours plus tard, en navigation entre les îles San Cristobal et Santa fé, une joyeuse bande de dauphins vient nager autour de Balthazar. In the 49er class Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen led the way for the Australian Sailing Team on day two with their first ISAF Grade One race win since teaming up earlier this year.

Racing got underway on day one of the 2009 Delta Lloyd Regatta with Tom Slingsby leading the way for the Australian Sailing Team in the Laser class.

Leuk om met een vliegtuig ook het weer aan de achterkant van de bui en het front te kunnen bekijken en tijd genoeg om lekker even te wachten tot de baan weer droog is. Voorzover we op de radio konden volgen had niet iedereen daar genoeg geduld (of fuel) voor :-)

94 year old Jessie Varalyay was married to legendary Snipe boatbuilder Lou Varalyay. She talks about Lou's love of working with wood and his attention to the details that made the Snipes that he and his brother Ted created the boats of choice in the 30's, 40's & 50's.

Eric did most of his sailing on the West Coast and around his home fleet in Alamitos Bay. He's a strong supporter of getting junior sailors involved in the Class. In fact, he started sailing with his daughter when she was a junior and has been sailing with her for over 30 years.

With the majority of the AST hitting the ground in Holland for the Detla Lloyd Regatta the first stop was Rotterdam to unpack the containers and get the boats up to Medemblik.

Jerry Thompson started sailing Snipes in 1953. In the intervening years he's competed in 46 Nationals and many more international regattas. Jerry talks about the Varalyay brothers who built his first boat and some exciting times that he's had out on the race course.

Arden Zinn started sailing Snipes in Michigan in the early 1950's in a boat that had previously been used by his older sister. Arden had success in those early years, but always felt the Snipe was a family boat - one that you can have a good time sailing whether you are 16 or 65.

Patrick skippered the winning boat in last year's American Sailing League Championship regatta and is back to try to make it two years in a row.
