It's coming down to the wire here on the second-to-last day of the Worlds! US boats are trying to navigate the rankings to end up with the lowest points added to the MIami OCR in two week's time. The 2.4 meters finish racing, the Sonars and Skuds have one more day on the water on Sunday.

This is day 4 for the International Association for Disabled Sailing World Championships in Port Charlotte, Florida. Today had a surprising northerly that held out for the first race and peaced out for the second. All of the competitors are getting tested in all conditions. Whoever places the best here and at the Miami OCR in two weeks (added together) will represent the USA at the 2012 Olympics.

This video was put together to help anyone with a Pacific Plus self-steering mechanism that has seized due to non-use. We'd left ours open to the elements of monsoon south India and had not used it for 18 months. Consequently the Teflon bearings has seized. Thanks to Bryan Thurlow of BVTEE in Cochin we were able to build a bracket to break it free. Included on the corresponding web page is a schematic/drawing plan of the piece, should you need it.
