** NOW SOLD ** Launched in 2007, Speeding Ticket a Catalina 350, that presents in immaculate condition and is a beautiful example of this very popular model from Catalina Yachts. Speeding Ticket has been only used as a weekend and holiday family cruiser. Boasting a total length overall of 36'5", the 350 will impress all who both sail her and witness the incredibly spacious features above and below decks. Aside from the overall quality and condition, some notables on deck include the brand new (2015) bimini and dodger with insert, electric halyard winch, electric windlass in large anchor well, auto-pilot, large swim ladder plus her transom is easily opened to allow access to the water or to step onto the dock. The winged keel will open up your access to private anchorages and waterways while still offering good performance. Down below the 13' beam offers a very well lit and ventilated saloon which instantly impresses with exceptional head room. Both forward and aft cabins feature innerspring mattresses. The bathroom is en suite (there is a separate door off the saloon for day use) and features a separate shower recess with folding glass door. This avoids wetting the whole bathroom and it can be accessed both by the main saloon and privately via the forward cabin. The starboard full length settee offers an additional berth or can convert to two seats with centre table. The large and very usable galley offers excellent fridge and freezer capacity while the navigation table opposite is functional and attractive. Finally moving aft and saving one of the best features until last is the massive queen aft cabin. The Catalina 350 design brief was to build a yacht that is easy use, with a lot of standard equipment and a lot of clever detail design. The list of standard equipment is very long and the price is short. The result is an extremely comfortable craft both down below and while sailing. The Yachting Australia 7th Annual Instructors and Principals Convention included a workshop the Team at Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter service (http://www.lifesaver.org.au/) conducted on helicopter rescue procedures, winching excercises, aviation Search & Rescue, and dealing with hypothermia, at their base in Botany Bay. In this video taken during that workshop, the casualty is being lifted using the hypothermic strop.

This is the method I used for insulating the hull aboard my sailboat (a 30 ft Albin Ballad from 1973). I'll use a different method in the v-berth, but this method seemed to work well last winter when I was living aboard. I spent a month aboard the boat during the winter and had no issues with condensation in the areas of the hull that had been insulated using this method.

They’ve had a maze of tricky shipping lanes to dodge, but finally Team Alvimedica win their first leg of the race. For Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing, it’s the double, winning both the in port and overall oceanic series, with Team Brunel second overall, and Dongfeng Race Team third.
