We motor-sailed from San Diego, California to the San Francisco Bay area. 10 days, 111 hours at sea and 470 nautical miles. The uphill battle against wind and currents, sailing north on the west coast is no pleasure cruise. A great day on my way from Geelong to Beaumaris Bay (Port Philip- Melbourne). Very cold and a long day eventually weighing anchor at about 8pm.

This is the method I used for insulating the hull aboard my sailboat (a 30 ft Albin Ballad from 1973). I'll use a different method in the v-berth, but this method seemed to work well last winter when I was living aboard. I spent a month aboard the boat during the winter and had no issues with condensation in the areas of the hull that had been insulated using this method.

Here's a mini-trip down the Lefkas Canal in the Greek Ionian. We've met quite a few boaters that were afraid to enter the canal.
