Things couldn't have gone much better really. The weather was great The wind was great The club did a fantastic job of organising the event, probably the best run and smoothest regatta weekend yet. And to cap it all off Ian won! In fact the only thing that was disappointing was that I was filming it for you guys and not sailing myself :-( Ian would like to thank everyone at the club who organised things, they really did a fantastic job. Also a big thank you on behalf of the club to to MTS cleansing Services for once again sponsoring the event, it does make a big difference. And thank you to Kelly Tolhurst our local MP (she is a sailor herself so knows what its all about) for making time in her busy schedule and presenting the prizes. This is a perfect boat for someone looking for an entry level cruiser. 24' plus the swim platform makes it 26' overall. This boat is in very good shape in and out and has been through our shop for a mechanical inspection (you can view the report at www.shuswapmarina.com) which it passed. Powered by a 260hp Mercruiser 350 V8 this boat cruises nicely around 25mph. The current owners have done lots of work on the motor over the last couple of years, and everything is tip top at this stage. The wood has all been refinished and looks great! There's full camper canvas, and some updated upholstery in the cockpit. Below there is a plumbed in head, and a 2 burner alcohol stove. There's also a stainless BBQ which mounts to the rail around the cockpit! The trailer is a painted roller trailer with surge brakes. The last few owners of this boat have all upgraded to newer or bigger cruisers because this boat made them fall in love with the lake; maybe you'll be next! We quit our jobs in May of 2014 and sold our house in Denver, CO. We're cruising aboard a small sailboat, Baby Blue, an Allied Luders 33' sloop. By living simply, we hope to stretch our funds in the cruising kitty to keep us afloat for at least a couple of years. The only thing separating us from endless summer is the 2,000+ miles of coastline from Maine to the Caribbean.
