After a six-hour sail/motor from the Italian island of Sardinia, we eventually reached the lovely sandstone cliffs of southern Corsica. The entrance to Bonifacio is one of those that you can’t easily spot by the naked eye. You have to rely on maps or your plotter to find the green and red channel markers. And once you find them, you’re led into a narrow cavern with cliffs reaching high on either side. An important part of the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival is the Edensaw 2 day Boatbuilding Challenge. This year 5 teams took part, two 14ft racing dinghies, a coracle, a plywood rowing dory and a traditional dory being built entirely with hand tools Construction started 9am Friday morning, finish 1pm Sunday. The items I need to bring the installation up to code didn't show up. That's okay :) I still have to finish the box. I'm really looking forward to having a working stove!
