Here is a video that I have edited from three taken a couple of years ago showing a 24ft plywood Strider catamaran sailing in the Pacific. At first you think they are sailing fast - then they put the spinnaker up. No speeds are given, but I remember doing 16 miles in an hour on our Strider, in fact we sailed the 60 miles across the English Channel from Cherbourg and Poole between breakfast and lunch. Several owners have reported speeds in the low 20's.
