Along the way we sailed in over 40 knots of wind, lost our engine after the Sea Anchor got fouled in the Prop, hove too in 50 knots of wind gusting to 60. took some green water in the cockpit. The crew kept a good attitude and made it to port safely..

One of our first projects involving sailing was back in May when we approached Irish Offshore Sailing to help them with a short promotional video. Unfortunately the only day which we could film on due to time constraints happened to have next to no wind. We headed out anyhow and put together a short video before they headed off on the Volvo Round Ireland Race later that month.

This was the first event we ever recorded in the sailing world. It was a one day event at our local sailing club. We provided event coverage for the day, from a small 3.8M Rib, which was incredibly wet but provided us with a lot of laughter throughout the day.

Watch to learn what stand up springs and boots are used for on a sailboat, and a few methods that take the frustration out of installing them.

Join the Barbados 50 yachts who took part in the Cape Verde mini-cruise. After sailing from Fogo (55nm), the fleet (now one group) arrives in another Tarafal, this time on Santiago. This was was the 11th port visited by the fleet. Take a bus tour around the island with Pedro (mobile 921 73 55) who speaks English and is reliable. We did cover too much on this day tour so I recommend visiting the island in 2 parts on different days. A special thanks to Lutz Meyer-Sheel, marina owner for this mini-cruise planning and support.
