http://www.iyachtclub.com/british-virgin-islands-bvi-yacht-charters/business-ownership/how-to-change-boat-name-renaming-ceremony/ You finally got your dream yacht! Although it had a previous owner, the boat is in excellent condition, and you are ready to set sail. The one thing you don’t like: THE NAME! So, you want to change it to match you, your business, or to be more appealing. However, you know that you need the sea and wind gods on your side while sailing and they are not fond of just changing the name. To properly please all the sailing gods you must follow the below steps to rename your vessel: 1) Remove ALL TRACES of the boat’s old name 2) Rededicate the Vessel and offer libation to the sea gods 3) Call to and offer libation to the wind gods 4) Perform the ‘Christening’ 5) Celebrate with your guests (yes, this is important as the gods like a good party!) It is important to remember that you need to buy lots of GOOD QUALITY red wine or champagne and to only bring the new name aboard once you have completed the ceremony. Interested in starting your yacht charter business? http://www.viewyacht.com/jsix J SIX, launched in March 2016, is one of the newest jewels of CNB. Over 23 meters long, she can accommodate 6 passengers in 3 cabins with a spacious master cabin. Reliable and fast, the J Six is perfect for a Mediterranean cruise. With her 3 crew members, she can welcome up to 4 adults in the master - very different from her sister-ships - and a double bed cabin convertible into 2 twin beds. Episode 4: After spending our 5th night on the water at Camel Rock, we sailed up to Dangling Rope Marina. This is a water locked marina in a boxed canyon where you can empty trash, use flushing facilities, eat a snack, shop at a small shopette, get fuel and most importantly -- restock Ice! After leaving Dangling Rope, we sailed to the next large canyon east - Balanced Rock were we found a spit of land as winds really picked up for the afternoon! We were now just miles from Forbidding canyon which is the entrance to our main destination: Rainbow Bridge National Monument! It's really about the journey, but it is fun to have something to journey towards! We'll reach Rainbow Bridge in Episode 5! I hope you enjoy following our summer sail--we had a wonderful time! This week’s episode is epic. As the title suggests, me and Galopin navigate in 45knt gales. I left Estartit on the north coast of Catalonia with already 20knt pushing me out of the harbour. I unfurl a small bit of Genoa sail and the wind quickly jumps to 30knt and the waves grow bigger as I go around Cape Bagur. They have growing from southern France by a powerful Tramontane wind. It was forecasted and I knew it, but it was my window to go. I wanted to test out Galopin, well Neptune sure put me and Galopin to the test. What an experience!
