Understanding where the wind is blowing from affects everything on a sailing boat. This video explains how to identify where the wind is blowing from and the correct point of sail to allow the boat to sail correctly. By understanding how your boat is positioned relative to the wind you will be able to spot what point of sail you can achieve for your intended direction. This in turn helps you to identify what to do with the sails to get the best speed.

Sailing a boat relies on several things to be aligned. This video shows the six things that we think are important. They are Wind awareness, Sail Setting, Boat Balance, Boat Trim, Course sailed, Centreboard position. In this video we show you what to do with each of them. When aligned you will sail better and in more control. Sailing is a skill that is a combination of the 6 factors we show you. By mastering these you will quickly identify yourself what to do when afloat. These essential skills are the basis of everything to do in the boat. It applies to small boats but also larger yachts although these are less manoeuvrable

Nach zahlreichen Vortreffen und Planungsveranstaltungen während der vergangenen Wintermonate war es über Ostern endlich so weit: Vom 12. bis 17. April 2017 haben wir unseren Einstein in Flensburg bei eisigen Temperaturen zu Wasser gelassen, das Rigg gestellt und erste Trainingsmanöver gesegelt. Zwischenfazit: Die Farr 30 Einstein ist ein reinrassiger Racer mit enormem Regattapotential und ebenso großen Anforderungen an die Crew. Jetzt liegt es an uns, dieses Potential während der kommenden Monate abzurufen und uns auf die IDM zur Warnemünder Woche sowie auf Voiles de St. Tropez vorzubereiten.
