Una giornata viene dedicata alle prove sulle boe, due giornate ai percorsi costieri tra le isole che verranno decisi al momento dalla giuria internazionale. La suggestiva, restaurata, vecchia tonnara Ignazio Florio, fara nda meravigliosa cornice per l'evento.. L'atleta di punta dello Yacht Club Favignana, Matteo Miceli, sara' a bordo del Comet 50 Verve-Dahlia Tv. Miceli ha appena messo in acqua Biondina Nera, il catamarano di 20' con il quale tentera' di riconquistare il record di traversata atlantica da Dakar a Guadalupa. Presenti anche molti protagonisti dello scorso anno, ad iniziare dal defender del Trofeo Challenge, Vincenzo Addessi, armatore e skipper di "Fra Diavolo", a Caraddau III, a Aurora, a Aida oltre alle new entry. "Sara' un'edizione fantastica - sottolinea il Presidente dello Yacht Club Favignana Chiara Zarlocco - con tante barche al via. Siamo sinceramente orgogliosi della grande partecipazione, che e' la migliore testimonianza del successo di questa iniziativa. Cinque anni fa abbiamo iniziato con 13 barche, ora ci vorrebbe una marina da 100 posti per contenere tutti coloro che vorrebbero partecipare". Tanti gli eventi di contorno di questa edizione: l'esibizione dei kite surfers di Marsala "Le vie del vento"; gli uomini dell'Aeronautica Militare per la dimostrazione di un salvataggio in mare, il gruppo musicale "The Family Band" e il grande spettacolo di musica del "Distretto 51" durante la serata di gala. Lee's been sailing Snipes for over 45 years. A good deal of that time its been sailing with his family -- his sister, his wife and most recently his daughter. Lee knows how much enjoyment you get changing the dynamic between father and daughter, in a way that just isn't possible in any other sport. He see's the influx of younger sailors as a sign the Class is healthy and likely to stick around for another 80 years.
