Sailing the Pacific Ocean Half Moon Bay to Monterey, Off the Starboard Hull in a Lagoon 400 S2 Catamaran. A Canadian Couple from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada left from Parksville July 21, 2016 to sail around the world in their Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. See how they get along, who they meet and where they end up going. They have a 10 year estimated time line, but a very open agenda. Update: Laurie was ejected from the boat in late April 2019 after almost 3 glorious years of exploring and discovery. She is now back in BC with family and friends.

I moved from my tiny apartment to an even tinier van with Shelby and we traveled North America for 6 months. Now I'm setting out again, this time solo to see more of what the open road has to offer. This channel is a place for me to share my adventures, the awesome people I meet, the beautiful places I go and the ways I afford to do it all on barely a budget at all. Solo climbing a sailboat mast is scary, especially for someone like me who suffers from acute acrophobia. We've officially started making progress South! So many things to learn along the way. It's amazing all of the little skills that need to be acquired in order to become competent and safe sailors - but we're chipping away a bit each day and becoming more and more capable as things progress. Beautiful sights. Sunrises, sunsets, and everything in between has become beautiful in it's own unique and individual way. So much life and energy out there on the water. We only hope that some of that excitement and wonder comes through to you by way of our videos. As always, thanks for watching our videos. Yep, they're all a bit quirky and weird, but that's just because the videos are such an accurate reflection of our true selves. !) The sailing is great. We're having a great time. What a wonderful adventure we have ahead of us. Thanks for watching!!
