Reefed down and beating | Caribbean sailing means wind

Downwind sailing in the Caribbean is a myth - going north you will often find yourself beating again a force 5/6 with with squalls and rain. As we got further north to the French islands - Martinique and Guadeloupe it got more squally and more then once we had to put in a second deep reef . The Caribbean is awesome cruising area and the weather is a great for competent crew training , lots of reefing , shaking reef using KMT and trying different sail plans .
