IMPI sailing the ASYMMETRIC thru SQUALLS - South Pacific Ocean

Following a few requests to do some video clips of Impi sailing out in the vast ocean with good winds, we decided to post a clip taken en-route French Polynesia (MAUPITI) to US SAMOA (PAGO PAGO) where we had a number of squalls passing overhead. Of course the effect of video at sea is such that it does not capture the wave conditions for what they really are out there with the result that we feel it not worthwhile taking footage ... however, in this situation and with a number of squalls passing overhead, we thought some may find the aspect of sailing with the asymmetric up during these passing squalls interesting. We pretty much had the sail up throughout the journey, substituting it now and again with the spinnaker ... saw us arrive in PAGO PAGO after 7 days without the use of engines. Thats not too shabby for a cruising cat loaded with all appliances and full of fuel and water ...
