Im September 2014 haben Cati und Johannes Erdmann die Segel gesetzt, um noch einmal ein großes Abenteuer zu erleben, bevor sie "vernünftig werden". Die Reise führte das Paar mit ihrem zehn Meter langen Segelboot von der Nordsee in die Karibik, über die Bahamas hinauf in die USA. Zwei Jahre sollte das "Sabbatical" dauern. Doch ehe sich sie versahen, wurde der zeitweise "Ausstieg" aus dem Berufsleben ein "Einstieg" in ein ganz neues Leben. Für Cati war Langfahrtsegeln beim Start noch völliges Neuland, Johannes hatte bereits eine lange Reise im Kielwasser, allerdings als Einhandsegler. Nun zwei Jahre auf engstem Raum und unter den rauen Lebensbedingungen auf dem Meer. Der Traum vom Aussteigen? Ein Törn ins Ungewisse. Das junge Paar hat die Reise in einem bewegenden Videotagebuch festgehalten. Zusätzlich wurden Cati und Johannes punktuell von einem Fernsehteam begleitet. Anchoring at the wharf

As we travel around the world we always love finding abandoned places to urban explore. After sailing into Trinidad & Tobago, we cleared into the country then motored our live aboard catamaran to the uninhabited island of Chacachacare. One of Trinidad's western islands, it's a great anchorage for visiting yachts. It's also a formed leper colony. Despite being to Trinidad before we'd never explored the abandoned building including the convent and church, which were used by the nuns who cared for the lepers that lived here. This was the perfect time to go see a place some call haunted, the ruins of which are slowly being overtaken by the jungle.
