Auf dieser kleinen Karibik Insel ein so aufwändiges Refit zu machen, ist wirklich nichts für schwache Nerven. An neues Material zu kommen ist schwierig und wir müssen viel improvisieren. Was an Werkzeug noch nicht an Bord ist, gibt es eben nicht. Alles dauert länger als wir dachten. Und meine Magenentzündung wird leider auch nicht besser. Zum Glück können wir auf der „Nordklang“ einen Tag lang mit Leni und Janschek vor Sandy Island entspannen und die Probleme auf der Werft einen Tag lang hinter uns lassen. Bienvenidos a Nomadas del Mar, la primera travesía del gran viaje de Nomadas del Mar con rumbo al Caribe realizando Valencia-Almeria, Cabo de Gata. Pasamos el primer día con mal tiempo por la llegada de una gota fría o DANA y nos encontramos una tortuga enredada en alta mar que tratamos de liberar. En esta travesía pasamos los principales cabos de la costa de levante, Cabo de San Antonio en Denia, Cabo de Palos y la llegada a Cabo de Gata.

Mit unserer Topaz Magno geht’s noch einmal raus in die Kieler Bucht – direkt vor dem Olympiahafen Kiel-Schilksee. Bei 4 Beaufort und ablandigem Wind erleben wir ein richtig agiles kleines Sportboot. Die Magno ist mit nur ca. 3,94 m Länge, 1,56 m Breite und rund 95 kg Rumpfgewicht ein echtes Leichtgewicht. Das Großsegel ca. 8 m², die Fock rund 2 m² und der Gennaker ca. 10–11 m² machen die Jolle perfekt, um das Gennaker-Segeln zu üben – aber eben auch ziemlich kippelig. Das spüren wir sofort: die ersten Kenterungen lassen nicht lange auf sich warten. Insgesamt werden es 6 Kenterungen – jedes Mal schnell aufrichten, Wasser rausfahren und weiter geht’s. Genau das macht den Reiz aus: wenig Trägheit, direktes Lenkverhalten und jede kleine Gewichtsverlagerung spürt man sofort. Wenn die Magno ins Gleiten kommt, spielt die klassische Rumpfgeschwindigkeit von ca. 9 km/h keine Rolle mehr – mit Gennaker und genug Wind kommen wir zeitweise auf 16 km/h und mehr. Für Einsteiger ist die Magno aufgrund ihrer Stabilität beim Aufrichten perfekt zum Lernen geeignet – aber man muss aktiv segeln und Gewicht trimmen! Wir segeln Höhe, üben Wenden, fahren lange Schläge und probieren Manöver im Trapez. Dabei wechseln wir Rollen: mal steuert einer nur mit der Pinne, mal bedienen wir Großsegel und Fock gemeinsam. In the last episode, you saw how we officially checked into the Anambas Islands, Indonesia — a smooth and simple process thanks to Isky, our local agent, who helped coordinate customs, immigration, health, and harbour authorities so everything went seamlessly. You can whatsapp Isky at +62 812-6834-4549 Once ashore in Terempa, the first thing we noticed was the slow pace of island life and the natural beauty all around us. This is a small town with a big heart. Many locals live in houses built on stilts over the ocean, and everyday life here is far from easy — with groceries and provisions arriving only by ferry after an 8-hour journey. We sampled the famous Mie Terempa noodles at a cozy little café and later caught up with our friends aboard Sailing Vessel Moyana. The plan? Buddy boating through these stunning Indonesian islands together. The very next morning we lifted anchor to begin exploring the Anambas archipelago — but not before discovering a huge rope tangled around our anchor chain! While Gaurav motored slowly ahead, Vee jumped into action and cut the rope free, clearing us to continue. On the way, we headed toward a jungle waterfall and treated ourselves to some incredible boat-oven pizzas — proof that good food is always part of life aboard SV Reeva 🍕⛵. We finally arrived near Temburna Waterfall, where we’d heard rumours of a legendary seafood restaurant… and wow — were we in for a surprise! The next day, we took the dinghy ashore and hiked up to the waterfall, which flows all year round. Surrounded by jungle and fresh water, it was the perfect start to our Indonesian island adventure.
